Hey, everyone. Cameron Hemphill here, your host for Medical Millionaire.

Hey, first off, I want to thank you so much for taking the time to listen to our podcast. Embrace our content, our purpose and goal of putting this out there is to really help you succeed. We’ve consulted some of the top medical spa owners throughout the country for years. We see ones that are killing it, and we see ones that need serious help. And so throughout this journey together, we want to make sure you are embracing what we have to say, implementing the solutions, and ultimately driving your business to where you want to be. So in this episode, specifically, I want to talk about how to grow your social media following the organic way to produce real results.

Now the key word there is the organic way, not, you know, a quick way to buy followers or bots, or anything like that. It’s super important that you have an organic following. And when you think about business, you got to think long term, right? And so if you’re always trying to create like the quick path to produce some results, it’s not going to measure long term wins and long term gains, like obviously, you know, there’s a saying out there that the easiest path of least resistance, right? So, and there’s a lot of truth to that.

But when it comes to creating an organic social media following, people want to see who you are. They want to see your personality, okay? They want to actually, you know, see exactly what you have to say. And if you’re constantly putting out valuable content, then people are going to embrace that content. They’re going to share that content. And ultimately, you’re going to see your your growth, and you’re following grow at the organic level.

Okay, so a lot of times, you know, folks are saying, I just can’t figure out social media. I can’t figure out how to get following. How does XYZ practice have so many followers? Are they buying the followers? Are they running ads? What are they doing? You know? And I would assume, you know, some have but others have really just figured it out by by by sharing who they really are on a personality level all the way down to even maybe, you know, sharing some home life with some professional life, right?

Some humor, some education, stuff like that. And so people want to ultimately look at you through a story, right? And so when they’re pulling up Instagram, for example, and they’re pulling up a story, they’re trying to live through you and understand who you are from a from an online social media perspective, like the even the word social media, if you break it down, it’s so true because it’s, it’s a social aspect, and so you kind of have to really embrace that. This is a social environment, and you have to get through to people.

And what do people like, like? What pushes their emotions right? Humor pushes their emotions. Intelligence pushes emotions. Incredible insights pushes emotions right. And so a lot of that stuff, if you embrace that through your content sharing strategy, it’s really going to help produce what we call this is fans and a following that’s going to share your content, that’s going to actually get you additional followings, right?

And so let’s get into why it’s it’s so important to have an organic following versus, let’s call it like a bot, paid following, if you will. Social media is, is for one, if used correctly, it’s a free outlet of advertising, okay? And so if you really break it down and say, Hey, I’m going to share a story or share a post, and you have, let’s just make numbers easy, 10,000 followers, you can quickly pull up that device that’s in your pocket.

You can share something and quickly get, you know, let’s just say 10,000 Eyeballs that look at that post. I don’t know from my 15 years in digital marketing, how else you can do that without paying the advertising giants such as Google Facebook to really expose additional eyeballs or impressions to see that? Now this stuff is going to take time. It’s not like, you’re going to have an incredible amount of followers over time, right?

So it’s, it’s really, it’s a tool. And I want practices to be looking at this as a tool on your tool belt. It’s not like, Oh, I’m not into social media, or I don’t want to do it. That’s not me. If you have a business, this is one of the most powerful tool sets you have at your fingertips, available for free, okay? And you can push that content to YouTube, which has a tremendous amount of eyeballs that are constantly looking at videos. You can create a YouTube channel, and then you can create all of the content underneath those videos to create very robust SEO strategies.

And then you could take it further to bring that YouTube channel or your Instagram feed back into your website to create backlinks. And so if you’re putting content out there for one, get over the fear. Don’t worry about what people think and just start putting content out there. People want to see your face. They want to see your practice, your business. I know that some folks are more private than others.

Maybe you don’t want to expose what the family life is like, what the personal life is like. Maybe there’s a couple of just tidbits you could share and stuff like that, just so people can kind of get an understanding that, you know, you’re a real person, and they’ll really embrace that. Okay, so again, extremely important look at it as a tool. Stop looking at it as, oh, I’m just not a social media person. There’s a lot of courses out there that you can learn how to do this.

You can just YouTube this. In fact, we’ve created growth 99 University to teach you how to do this. You know, of course, at growth 99 we also help folks with this as well. But So again, I think you know, from a mindset standpoint, if you look at it as a tool versus an act, it’s gonna get you in a position and prepare you to really use it. And then the other thing I would do is I would, I would actually create your strategy, right? And so obviously, there’s the mindset point, there’s a strategy point, when are you going to post, how are you going to post, what are you going to post about?

And you can create, like a social media calendar. You could carve out time in the morning to kind of create whatever your posts are going to be about. And so, again, I think the why here is looking at it as a business asset and business tool. Okay, now let’s pivot just for a second and talk about how you can really position yourself to create this organic following Okay, so, so let’s get into some real life scenarios.

You’re at your practice, and you have patients coming in and out. Now, those patients coming in and out, what are they doing while they’re in the waiting room? What are they doing when they’re even getting service done, or when they’re checking out, like everybody is on their phone. And you, you know this, it is sad, and in the sense that we have lost the ability to be present in what we’re doing.

And, I mean, that’s another conversation, of course, but at the same time, these people are on their phones, these patients, these clients, they’re on their phones. And if you look at what they’re doing on their phone, you know, eight times out of 10 they’re scrolling on social media, and it’s almost like an addiction. And so if they’re looking on those on those devices, well obviously, you know, you need to be present relative.

Well, ask them if they’re following you. Okay, so a lot of times start they’re not following your business. And so you need to get comfortable with with the fact that talking about social media with with your patients and clients becomes normal. Hey, are you following us? Hey, yeah, follow us. We always post, you know, great stuff and techniques and before and afters, and, you know, we we really embrace this stuff.

We have a lot of passion. So, I mean, they’re gonna want to follow you, because you’re gonna give them value, and you’re gonna give them insight into ultimately giving them more confidence. They’re coming to you to build confidence. Okay, now the other thing that this is, like, a huge key strategy, I want to make sure you take away those clients and patients. They have followers themselves, they have a social media profile. And some of these individuals may actually be influencers.

Some of them may have 10,000 And 20,000 30,000 40,000. Some of them may have you know, 10,000 20,000 30,000 40,000 50,000 followers. Now if you can implement a strategy to get your clients and your fans talking about you on their feeds and tagging your practice, all of their eyeballs are actually going to see you.

People associate like, let’s say somebody that has a robust social media presence or an influencer is at a location, and they pull up their story and they say, oh my gosh, you have to go to XYZ injector. She’s amazing. My lips. Look at them. I feel so beautiful, so confident. I can’t wait to go out tonight like this is all emotional buttons, all the people that see that on her feed, and if she tags the practice, they’re gonna go look at you. They’re gonna go look at you as an injector. They’re gonna go look at you as a business, and they’re gonna start following you like you’re gonna inherit followers, okay?

And what’s gonna happen is, then, if you’re consistently putting out valuable content, creative content, the power of authority of content, then you are going to convert some of their followers into clients, into customers. I see it all the time. Okay, so make sure you have a strategy to talk about social media. Get your your fans to follow you, your clients to follow you, because they are fans and they want to share where they are.

Think about it. When somebody goes on vacation like all of a sudden, they just constantly post, even the people that are not sharing and posting on their stories or their feeds, all of a sudden, they’re sharing because they’re they’re they’re showing you where they are, and they they’re for one they’re happy, but they’re also, you know, trying to maybe create a little bit of jealousy or or just in not all cases, but in some just like, hey, look at where I am. Okay, so if people can can see that, and you have a lot of people talking about you, let’s say you have a client base of that’s just 100 200 whatever it is, if you just run the math.

Let’s say the average Instagrammer, if you will, has, let’s just say 500 followers, and you have 200 clients. Well, if you run the math, think about how many eyeballs you can see and how rapid you could grow your practice just by talking to your clients about social media, telling them what you do, and then getting them to post about you.

So here’s one strategy that I would recommend. Is, is, and I talk about this a lot like the checkout process. Okay, so the patient comes in, they they’re waiting in the area the waiting room. However you greet them, you conduct the service at the checkout process. Incredible time to say, Oh my gosh. Like, let’s get a picture of that. Let’s share it on social media.

Maybe even have, like, a social media red carpet area, something that’s like a, oh, you got to come over and hop on the story, and we can tag you. And even if you pull them up on the story and get consent, or whatever you have to do, pull them up on your story, put them in a lot of times, they’re just going to share that story feed as well. Okay? Because it’s, it’s, it’s a, it’s a sense of, oh my gosh, somebody’s talking about me.

So I want to share it with the world. I see that all the time, and I can tell you that we have worked with some injectors, and we have worked with some medical spa owners that have done a very, very good job of this, and they are making a ton of revenue from this key, simple strategy. And so highly recommend. End it definitely something that if I had a practice, that’s exactly what I would do. Now let me tell you.

You know why most successful practices do this for one they they have a lot of passion, and they want to share what they’re doing and expose like techniques and exactly how they can build confidence for in my world, I would say the end user, but for really the person that’s seeking more fulfillment and joy in their life, right? So if you can kind of drill down to the emotional aspect of who your audience is, that’s really gonna it’s really gonna help embrace this.

Now, why do they do it? Well, for one again, look at it as a tool. It’s free, if done right, and all you have to do is ask and share. You don’t have to come up with anything super creative, and don’t overthink it. Just start putting stuff out there, and you’ll get better and better over time. Okay, now, if you don’t implement this strategy, let’s just say, you know, it’s it’s not for me. I don’t know how to do it.

I’ve been in business for a long time, or I’m just getting into business, and it’s just, I just, you know that the mindset, the fear factor, the the story you keep telling yourself. Before I recorded this podcast, I was listening to somebody that I had listened to a lot that has to do with mindset. And a lot of times we’re telling ourselves a story, I can’t do it, and here’s why, and you need to change that story and say, No, I can do it, and here’s how I’m going to do it and overcome that fear factor, right?

And so again, it doesn’t matter what you know to quit worrying about what people think. People think. Just start getting content out there. You’ll get better and better. Take some courses, talk to some consultants and but if not implemented, you are missing out on a huge wave of how to communicate with people that are out there at a free, organic level.

Okay, obviously, you know, I’m a big fan of also bolting on digital advertising, like lead generation, through Facebook, Instagram and through Google, for sure, but this is something you can do yourself. And again, I mean, there is millions and millions of users on these platforms constantly, even in your local area, okay, so embrace it, and if not implemented, you’re going to fall by the wayside, and these other practices that have done a really good job of it are really just going to take up tremendous amount of market Share, because they’re going to become the statement of authority.

And what do I mean by that? Well, statement of authority means that they are the professional. They have put so much content out there that people look at them as the professional, as the expert. Okay, so that’s what you need to position yourself as, and start getting some really good content out there, so you’ll fall behind and you’ll lose potential customers.

In fact, in some cases, I’ve seen where loyalty from a from a client base or following base will eventually follow someone else, and they will go try out that practice, and you could potentially even lose out on, you know, loyal clients that you’ve had for years.

So again, highly recommend it, and definitely something that you need to embrace before we chime off here, and this was just kind of quick to the point, you know, there’s only so many things you can talk about of a growing and organic fall, and we’ve talked about the sharing mechanism, the checkout mechanism, why it’s important.

It’s a tool, right? So a success story there is, there’s two clients, and I won’t expose their names, but two clients that we have that have over 100,000 followers, and some, one of them has been, you know, featured on TV, and one of them is a huge, well known injector throughout the country.

But they, I mean, I’ve just asked them, like, like, how has having an organic social media following, what has it done for your practice? Like I just you can share numbers if you want to, but I mean, we’re talking seven figures by just posting and creating an organic following on social media, okay? And the key to this is you have to be consistent.

It’s got to be something that you implement. You can’t, you know, do a post on a Friday and then kind of go radio silent for a while, and you don’t have to constantly be on social media. It’s not like, you know, you have to post all day long, throughout the day, but you have to be relative. You have to have a strategy, and you have to be consistent.

And so it’s just like anything, right? If you’re, if you are in sales, and you make phone calls on Monday, but you you don’t make phone calls the rest of the week like you’re, you’re probably not going to, you know, be closing as many deals as if you were making phone calls every single day, you know, throughout the throughout the day, right? And so again, it’s about being consistent. It’s about having discipline, and it’s about, you know, having having a plan.

And so, there, yeah, there’s, there’s been, in some cases, I have seen the social media, organic following surpass every amount of revenue generation, then what marketing spend is produced for, for some practices, right? And so what it’s, it’s literally their most valuable asset they have.

And they, they look at it as a business. They don’t say, Well, I’m gonna, I’m gonna post something on it’s not a toy like this is a true business tool. And if looked at that way, then you could be like the other injectors I’m talking about. And there’s, there’s, you know, dozens and dozens that are also clients as well. But there’s, there’s two that really stick out, that have done an incredible job, and they have created multiple seven figure businesses with this marketing stream alone.

Now, of course, they have very beautiful websites, and they you have SEO and Google ads and all that stuff, but at the same time, you know this was the tool that positioned them to have ultimate success when it comes to that tool set in your in your marketing belt, if you will.
