Hey guys. Cameron Hemphill here, your host for Medical Millionaire. First off, thank you so much for listening to our podcast. The purpose and goal of this podcast is to give value and insight into the medical spa market.
My team and I have consulted with medical spa owners all over the country for years. We see businesses that are absolutely thriving and ones that need serious help in this journey together, we want to help you take your practice to the next level.
In this episode, we are going to get into the morning routine, and I’ve named it the million dollar morning routine because of how important it is. In fact, a lot of networking groups that I participate in and a lot of other entrepreneurs that I consult with all have very similarities when it comes to having a morning routine. Now this isn’t, you know, the ultimate path to true success and prosperity, but it’s definitely part of the prescription that’s that’s required in order to take you to the next level.
And I’ll talk about how this is going to relate into the medical spa space, the services space, brick and mortar, and even how you can tie it into to online, right? So let’s get into why the million dollar morning routine is important and why it should become a ritual.
I can share a personal experience I have had a morning routine for the past, I want to say eight to nine years, and that morning routine has, I guess, become a ritual. It wasn’t really planned, but I knew that if I wanted to take my business my personal productivity and performance, I needed to make a serious change. I have studied a lot of very successful business, women and businessmen that have achieved worlds of success throughout their careers, and it really boils down to having very robust disciplines, and starting out with wins, right when you wake up in the morning,
right?
So the first thing that I can kind of drill into is, is why the importance of a ritual morning routine and how you can implement, right? So I always suggest that you beat the sun up. Studies have shown that individuals that beat the sun up, get up early, get up before the rush, are the ones who are the high performers, the ones that are the achievers, the ones that make an impact, the ones that make a true difference in this world, in themselves, for their family, for their business, and ultimately achieve the freedom and success that they are seeking.
So getting up early is a key element to the million dollar morning routine. In fact, I thought that it was great to produce this episode right after my morning routine. It’s very early where I am right now, my alarm goes off at 4:30am Monday through Saturday, because I’m a parent, I have kids, I’m a business owner, I’m a husband.
I carry a lot of roles, and those roles all have a purpose, and so as you go out through the day, those roles are just going to constantly enter your your roadmap, right? So, and how do you navigate? How do you pivot? And how do you have a successful plan?
So something that has really helped me is, is getting up extremely early and then having a plan right when you wake up. If you don’t have a roadmap and don’t have a plan when you wake up, you’re just going to find yourself in falling into patterns that do nothing to move the needle, to increase productivity, to take things to the next step.
And that’s what I want you guys to get out of this podcast, and that’s why I want to share this with you, is I saw just a massive change in my life. Hmm, when I started getting up early and having a roadmap and a plan.
Okay, so if you’re waking up early and the first thing you’re doing is getting into your email or looking at social media, mindless scrolling through Instagram or Facebook, this is a very non successful, unproductive start to your day, okay? And the challenge with that is, for one, you can go down the rabbit hole of scrolling and looking at images that are not moving the needle and you’re wasting time.
But for two, it can really change the entire outlook of your day, right? So if you open your email, you don’t know what’s in there. I mean, there could be a great email, there could be a bad email. It could be a disgruntled client, it could be an upset employee. It could be a chargeback, right? That even happens. It could be a win, it could be a sale. It could be a review. It could be a five star review. It could be a negative review, like that.
Email can literally change your energy and focus for the entire day, even though you went to bed with a plan and you feel great when you wake up and your alarm goes off and you’re ready to hit the ground running and take action, all of that can be shattered by just looking in your email and having that dictate your date. So although very challenging, like, I admit I’m addicted to my email 100% I look at it way too much, and I think all of us do same with social media, right?
And social media is a tool, and we’ll talk about that in a next episode, and how you can really drive into social media to leverage it instead of make it unuseful. So the what I’m getting at is you want to have wins out of the gates. Okay? And wins are going to create a pattern that’s going to produce ultimate success for you, and create the energy and the environment that will actually dictate your day, and the individuals that that see your positive outlook and your positive energy, you’re going to rub off on them, and they are going to feel good about themselves, and if you share your experience as your team and your staff, they’re going to want to implement these same strategies, and then ultimately, it’s going to bring your entire practice up and really just supercharge the way that you’re conducting business.
Okay? The next thing I want to get into is having a workout regimen. Okay? So it’s, it’s really important to to wake up, move the body. You know, if you want to do, you know, some yoga, if you want to go to the gym, a lot of people are working out at home. Now, if you want to do a walk like you have to get your body moving. You have to get your mind turned on. Okay, you can’t just roll out of bed, check your email, scroll into social media, you know, maybe pour a cup of coffee and just roll into the practice.
This is just, I mean, you’re barely halfway awake. You need to show up there, ready to take charge. This is your business. You have this business, because you want to achieve something, and the reason you have to, in the previous episode, we talked about your why, and again, this kind of rolls into it, right? So this is why I want to share it. There has to be a purpose. And so if you really get your body moving, it’s going to get your brain turned on and really produce the correct mindset, you need to have a very profitable, organized day, organized practice and profitable Medical Spa.
The other thing that I want to get into is goal setting. Okay, goal setting is extremely important, and it’s very important to review your goals. So, you know, I’m not really going in order here, but obviously, whatever makes most sense for you, these are just some of the things that I have noticed very successful doctors, medical spa owners have implemented, and it’s interesting that they align with what I do, and it’s interesting that it aligns with some.

Interesting that it aligns with some of the top CEOs around the world do so when I see similarities with success, it just makes me stop and think that you know, a lot of this just needs to be shared and help to impact individuals that are seeking more, right? So goal setting has always been a something that I’ve really embraced and practiced and go through every single day.
And so in the mornings, you’ll want to review your goals and check them off, celebrate your wins, see where you’re at with ones that you haven’t achieved, and then you want to apply actions to those goals.
Okay, so those goals can be broken down, business related, family related, kids related, marriage related, health related, wealth related, however, you want to break them down into categories and then have sub categories, and you can put them in your notes. Like I actually just use my notes on my phone and I and I go into the notes, and I just kind of check off my my wins, and then I celebrate my wins, which is great.
A lot of people kind of don’t take the time to celebrate their wins, and I think that’s that’s important as well. So goal setting, review your goals, write them down, or put them in your phone and make sure that the actions you have actions to your goals. If there’s no actions align with your goal, then it’s really just a thought or a dream on paper. Okay? So if your goal is to do a million dollars this year in sales, okay, that’s, that’s a wildly important goal, you know, that’s, that’s a wig, right?
So, how do you achieve that? Okay, you have to break that down into subcategories, okay, maybe that’s you have to build out a very robust social media. Maybe that’s you have to have a robust web presence. Maybe it’s you have to have a great location, great staff, great follow up processes. Maybe you need more training. Maybe you need to do more marketing. Okay, so there’s, you know, a lot of subcategories and actions that take place around this.
Okay, so the goal setting of the million dollar morning routine is huge. There’s another key indicator that I want to share as well that kind of it ties into goal setting, and it’s something I actually do, like right after my workout, just because I think it just aligns well with me. But I think that a lot of Americans and individuals around the world, even right now, are forgetting about gratitude.
They’re forgetting about where they came from. They’re forgetting about who they are and where they want to go and and being thankful and appreciative, right? So if you woke up today and you’re listening to this, you’re alive. I mean, celebrate the day, you know? And so I see a lot of successful people that take the time to to actually go through some gratitude and even think about their day previously, and where were their wins, and how do they have a successful day?
And this is around business and your your your practice, but it’s also around your family. And what experiences did you have with your children, with your spouse, with your colleagues, with your staff, with your with your clients, what experiences did you have and embrace that day? That day is now gone, and it should be celebrated. And so take the time to do, you know, a 10 to 15 minute gratitude. Walk and be you know, you could break it down in your mind, however you want to do it. I can kind of help you.
But the first thing maybe, like I just said, kind of go through the day prior, celebrate the wins. The next thing is, you can be just a quick little gratitude like this. Could be gratitude around anything. It could be high level. It could be granular in the sense of, you know what? I have gratitude that I have a roof over my head. I have gratitude that I have a pair of pants and shirt I’m wearing right now, you know? So we need to really understand that there’s individuals around this, this world, that are not as blessed as we are.
And instead of having a mindset of, you know, it’s, it’s, it’s everybody’s fault, it’s, it really helps with your attitude, with your energy, with your positive outlook, to reflect and to be thankful and have gratitude. And it actually, when I have started implementing that into my morning routine, it’s really change the way that I communicate. You know, here’s actually, this is a really good hack, if you will. So instead of saying, you know, oh, I have to drive to work today and in deal with traffic, or I have to vacuum the house, no, no, you get to drive to your office today, and you get to deal with traffic like that.
You’re in a car. A lot of people actually don’t have that opportunity. A lot of people don’t have a vacuum, right? So you actually you get to vacuum the house. And so if you kind of change your mindset to, I have to do it to, Oh, I get to do it and embrace it. Oh, my gosh. It’s like it’s a world change, and how it’s going to impact your life and your day. So this is something that should become a regimen, and I guess I can just kind of circle back and bring all the sound of bullets beat the sun up.
Goal setting, workout, gratitude, reflection, okay, like those are some of the things that are important, some of the no’s. Stay out of email, stay at a social media and prepare yourself for a day. Have a plan, have a roadmap, right? So I have just a couple stories that I’ll share, but I have seen medical spa owners implement this into their lives, and I don’t want to, you know, get into any names specifically, but the ones that have taken action, and the ones that have taken charge of their life and dictated their roadmap from the very beginning and started off by having wins right when they hit the ground running for the day, are the ones that succeed.
They are the ones that raise the bar. They are the ones that everybody is saying, how are they doing it? How are they getting so much done? I’m here. I could be doing it as well. You’re talented. You know, you’re talented. And the ones that have implemented these strategies are the high achievers, and so I would strongly recommend that you implement a very robust morning routine to take you to the next level. Okay, and I can tell you from a personal experience, when I started doing this, I’ve seen success in my career. I’ve seen downfalls in my career.
I’ve been an entrepreneur ever since I was a young boy, and when I started implementing the morning routine that I’ve kind of gone through with you guys today. It has changed my life in ways that I have a hard time comprehending, and it kind of gets emotional actually, because it’s helped provide for my family. It’s helped make me understand that I always want to be the bet, the next best version of myself, and I know that if you implement these and the reason I’m sharing this content, this is for you, because I’ve seen success from it, and I want nothing but success for you, and everybody deserves that, and so this is something that, if implemented and done, you will see success.
