hey everybody. Cameron Hemphill, here your host for medical millionaire. First off, I want to thank you for tuning in to our podcast and taking the time to listen to all the episodes. So if this is the first episode you’ve listened to, please go back to the other ones that we’ve produced over the years. There’s some incredible value, great interviews and great content in there for you guys to really take your practice to the next level. Our goal is to give you value and insight into the medical spa market. My team and I, we’ve consulted with medical spa owners all over the country for years, and we see businesses that are absolutely thriving and ones that need serious help in this journey together, we want to help you take your practice to the next level. So if you’re an injector, you’re in the medical spa space, you own a medical esthetics practice, and you are trying to get to the next level. This content is specific to this industry, and I want to get into something that has a lot of meaning to me today and has really impacted my life over the years. And it really sums up to a book that I have read over and over and over and if you guys have taken the time to tune into the historical episodes that we produce on this podcast, you’ll understand that I am a big reader, and a lot of the very successful entrepreneurs and folks that have generated great wealth and achievement, their great strength is also come from learning and reading and continuing to ask questions. And there’s a book out there called the wealthy gardener, and I’ve taken the time to have our marketing team posted on our social media as well, but I would definitely encourage you to take the time to read that book. It’s written by a gentleman named John Sephora, and it’s basically about him talking about creating wealth and long term habits that he could then pass to his son. So instead of basically preaching to him all the time, he wanted to give him life lessons. And so throughout the book, he kind of goes through all of these life lessons. It’s a great book. It’s on audio through Amazon. So if you guys are into that, there’s, there’s definitely like no compensation reward from us pushing it out there. I just think it’s a very valuable book. Out of all the books I’ve read hundreds of different books, it’s one that really stands out to me. And there’s a part of that book that I actually want to talk about. And this is what this episode is all about so there’s a part in there where he talks about Early to bed and early to rise work like hell and fertilize. And I remember when he said that in the book, I was on a run, I was on an afternoon run, and I literally stopped in my tracks and I pulled out my little note thing within my phone, and I jotted it down. And now it’s something that I actually look at every single morning, and so I think it really has just put me, you know, in a centered understanding of like, Hey, if you take the time and you have discipline and accountability, and you know that early risers are the ones that really put them in a position to achieve and take themselves to the next level, and understanding like how to become the next best version of who you are and what you are and what you can achieve, it’s incredible. And you know, getting a decent amount of hours of sleep and going to bed at a reasonable time, and then having the ability to get up before the rest of the world is up, and then once the world has woken up, you have already achieved so much more than the average person has done in the day, right? So while the rest of the world is still sleeping and and why everything is very cool, calm, collective, silent. You know, there is a tremendous amount of things that you can work and execute on before the noise starts right? Because we all know, like once the family wakes up, or like once you get to the practice, or once you’re in traffic, or whatever it is, like, noise starts to pick up, right? So he really goes in and talks about that is, hey, very successful people, they get great sleep. And the ones that want to achieve, they understand that they have to give their their mind and their body rest. And so as they’re going to bed early, right? They’re not staying up late. So having the discipline to go to bed early is saying, Okay, you’re not going to, you know, watch as. Show super late. You’re not staying out with with friends and family, doing extracurricular activities that are gonna basically make you wake up the next day not feeling supercharged and ready to go, right? So if this is something that you’re not currently doing, I would very much explore it, because it’s it’s something that I started embracing years ago and going to bed early and kind of having that good night routine, and then putting myself in a position to wake up before the West, the rest of the world, and seeing how much I could actually accomplish before 9am before, you know, noon. You know, a lot of times I look at it my holy cow, I’ve literally been working. I’ve put in a half days work before 8am and that may sound crazy and insane, but at the same time, like there’s certain people in this world that understand the value of time, and time is the most valuable asset we have on planet Earth. Like, once it’s gone, it’s it’s gone, and you can never get it back right. And so as you really start to think about that, you will start valuing your time more and more.

Okay, so let’s kind of go into that. So as you you know early to rise. What does that mean, right? Early riser, right? So wake up, kind of go give yourself your your you time, go through your morning routine, right? And then get prepared for the day. And it’s a great time to work on your practice, versus in your practice, or on your business versus in your business, right? It’s a fantastic time because you’re not flooded with noise. People are not calling you, they’re not texting you, they’re not emailing you. It’s pretty rare for somebody to be reaching out that early in the morning, right? And you can even separate yourself from your phone or from your email or from your machine. And if there’s a task out there that’s been lingering, something is on your to do list, and it’s like just been lingering there and lingering there. It’s because you don’t want to do it. It’s because you put it aside. That is a great time to get that done, right? And there’s a lot of successful entrepreneurs out there that say, Hey, when you take the time to actually conduct your most difficult tasks first, then the rest of your day is easy, right? There’s another point in the book that he talks about, when he wakes up, he does 150 push ups a day. And he said, You know, it’s it’s really not hard to do the 150 push ups. He says, He takes him about 15 to 20 minutes. It’s not hard to do the 150 push ups. It’s hard to get yourself to do the 150 push ups, right? That’s the problem. It’s hard to get yourself to the gym. Once you’re at the gym, you just do your workout. It’s hard to get yourself to go on a run. Once you’re running, you’re running, right? It’s hard to get yourself to do that task that’s been lingering because you put it off, you put it off, you put it off, you procrastinate and put it off and put it off, right? But it’s actually, it’s a mind game. But once you start doing it and stuff, and then you feel accomplished, and you’re like, oh, and you feel good about yourself, and then you’re ready to go execute the day, right? And so, as he says, work like hell and fertilize, you know, be accountable to your work. Be responsible to your work. And, you know, I think there’s this whole philosophy out there that’s, you know, this whole work life balance thing and, and, you know, maybe that’s for some, but maybe it’s not for for others. You know, I think if you have the want and the desire to achieve and become financially free and gain prosperity, you have to really take a step back and say, Hey, what does work life balance mean? I mean, you could manage your time effectively, right? But you should be dedicated to your work and then everything else should, should follow and fall into place, right? And so I think, like, really a prosperous life is a productive life, right, versus a mediocre life. So a lot of people say, you know, you should, you should slow down. You should sleep in. You should come out with us. You should do. All these things, you know, sit and ask yourself that question. Instead of quickly saying yes, like, ask yourself before you reply. What is it that you want, right? This is your life. This is your world. What is it that you want, right? So, work like hell and fertilize. What does that? What does that mean? So let’s get into the fertilization, right? So, so you’re always striving to become better and better and learn something and execute, right? And so as you’re you’re kind of going throughout your day, and you are working like hell. You have back to back appointments, you have, you know, meetings, you have employees like it could be basically controlled chaos as the days going through, right? So, as you’re working like hell, like, make sure there’s systems in place, make sure there’s processes in place, right? And then how do you fertilize specific areas that need improvement, right? And so, like, as you, you know, I guess a great way to look at that is as you look at your your lawn, or as you look at your garden, if you will, is there certain areas that are doing better than others, right? Are the this certain section of the garden thriving and this one over here is not doing as well? You could basically take that analogy back to your practice, right? Which one is working the best and which one is not? And where does somewhere need fertilizer, right? And then don’t forget to actually add more fertilizer and self care on the places that are working just because they are working now they may not be working down the road. So make sure to understand exactly where they’re also working in fertilize there as well, right? And then being dedicated and being accountable to to actually executing on where you can, you know, add the fertilization and being honest with yourself and not just saying, Oh yeah, it’s, it’s working well, you know? And if it’s a, if it’s one particular person that’s handling something within the practice of the business, and it’s just like a task that could be automated, well, what happens if it’s working? Well, because you have this person that’s doing the job, but what happens to your business for practice if that person is no longer there, it was working well a week or two ago, but now it’s not because the system just was broken, because that person is not there, right? So you really want to architect your entire day around fertilization and understanding exactly what you are doing what you are not doing and being accountable to it. This was a quick one. Again, the wealthy gardener is the name of the book, and I mean, he dropped so many one liners in there that make you pause and think on what’s most important and how you can position yourself to thrive, live a better life and really gain you know what he his whole philosophy is around financial freedom and how to dedicate yourself to that, and why it’s important, right, and how It actually gives security and prosperity to your family and the importance behind it. And he’s a, it’s a, you know, sound by a an older gentleman. So it’s not like preaching and anything like that, but it’s all, it’s basically, it’s all comes down to principles, philosophy and then backed up by wise. So it would be neat to hear anybody that does take this advice and then comments or even just sends in an email to us at growth 99 but yeah, I want to leave you guys with that one today. So just a quick one, but lots of value. Some of these are short and quick and dirty, but thank you for listening to medical millionaire again. This is Cameron Hemphill.
