hey everybody. Cameron Hemphill, here your host for medical millionaire. Hey, first off, thank you so much for taking the time to tune into our podcast. Our goal is to give incredible value and insight into the medical spa market. So what I want to get into today is this is the first recording of 2023 and I want to get into the point of how you are going to put yourself in a position to thrive for 2023 and every single level. And I want to talk about the power of habit, because right now, everybody is putting themselves in a spot of saying, okay, these are my new goals. Here’s what I’m going to do differently this year. Here’s what I didn’t do last year. Here’s what I didn’t achieve last year. And you could quickly find yourself in a spot of regret, in a spot of not achieving goals that you would that you wanted to achieve last year. Maybe you didn’t perform at the highest, peak level that you did last year. Maybe your business didn’t grow, maybe you suffered a little bit financially. Maybe you actually ended up putting on weight versus losing weight. You wanted to run a certain amount of miles, but you didn’t hit that goal. You can look back at that and you can reflect and say, You know what, I didn’t perform at peak level 2022, and it’s important to really be honest with yourself, look in the mirror, write it down on paper, review what you didn’t achieve, and review what you did achieve, right? Because everybody had wins last year, whether they are small or massive or anywhere in between. There was fractional wins, and there’s big wins, and there’s also a tremendous amount of losses. And you want to take the time to reflect and say, Okay, where did I lose and why? And did it come down to habit? Did it come down to the ability to maintain a specific habit? Because I’m telling you right now, the habit, the daily habit, is what puts you in a spot to achieve and become the next level up or the next level down. If you have filthy habits, and you hang out with filthy people, for example, right? Bad habits, if you are anything that goes into your mouth like your goal is to lose weight, exercise more, but your habit is to not go to the gym. Your habit is to continue to eat junk food late at night or whatever, whatever the case is, and not focus on eating cleaned food, right? This is what’s going to put you in a position to actually have a great goal, but fall back on bad habit. So when you think about habit versus goal, they obviously they’re in the same ecosystem, right? But if you have extremely bad habits, bad intention, but great goals, you’re never going to achieve the goals that you have down. So as you’re going through it right now, it’s again, the New Year, take the time like it’s always a great time to refresh and put down goals. You can categorize them. You can make them as complex as you want, or you can make them as simplistic as you want. The whole point is to make sure to get them down on paper and have a habit of reviewing them. Okay, if you’re only writing your goals down one time per year, again, now is a great time to do it. The highest peak performers write their goals down every single day. Sometimes review them multiple times per day. I know some of the top entrepreneurs around the world review their goals every single morning and every single night, because they want it to be in their thought process. They want it to make sure that their goals align with their habits. Okay, so let’s just go through a couple different exercises really quick. Let’s say that you want to start growing your business by 20% this year. How are you going to do it? Okay, you can’t just write down a goal. I’m going to grow my business by 20% I’m going to grow my business by 100% you can’t just write that goal down and look at it and just hope it comes to comes to fruition. Right? You actually have to take the. Time to apply habit and breaking that down in a sequence, and applying those habit daily, like those daily activities, to make sure you achieve that goal. Okay? So if the goal is to grow by 20% this year, that’s great. That’s a fantastic goal. A business that grows 20% year over year is a great business. Okay? It’s very sustainable long term, great business. How do you get there? Do you need to invest in marketing? Do you need to invest in people? Do you need to get to the office earlier? Do you need to make more sales calls? Do you need to post more on social media? Do you need to run social media ad campaigns, Google campaigns, get your website optimized. Do you need to invest in E commerce stores? Do you need to look at your overall booking ratio, your lead to client to booking ratio. Do you have a CRM system? Do you have leads that are slipping through the cracks? Like, do you if your problem is, hey, we have lots of leads, but we’re not converting them? Well, you have a CRM problem. You have an automated follow up problem. If you’re constantly turning and burning clients, you have clients coming in the door, but they’re not rebooking. There’s something wrong. You either have a bad follow up process or maybe just a bad rebooking habit, right? So that’s a habit that you could roll out, right of really focusing. So you have to understand, okay, where are areas that I can improve if I want to grow my business from X to Y via 20% what are the habits that you have to roll out? So now’s a great time to look on that reflect, implement action, take action and apply habit. Okay, let’s look at it from a different perspective. Let’s say that your goal this year is to become extremely fit, like get in the best shape you’ve ever been in in your entire life. Great goal, like, what’s more, you know, better than focusing on health, right? Health is, like, the most important thing that we have at the end of the day. If you’re not healthy, you can’t perform well, right? And it wears on you over time. So if your goal is to become the most healthy, physically fit mind, body, soul ever that obviously that’s a great goal. Now, how do you apply habit to that? Okay, you’re going to need to get up earlier, you’re going to need to be on a good diet. You’re going to need to understand nutrition. You’re going to need to understand vitamins. You’re going to need to understand peak performance when it comes to cardiovascular workouts. How about weight performance? Training yoga. You’re going to need to study this stuff. Okay? You need to maybe read a book on it, right? You’re going to educate yourself, which we are all educational people. We love to learn new things, not a better time now than to obviously start rolling out learning new behaviorals, right? So that is a specific goal that you have. Well, now you have to apply habit. And if you review the habit that reaches the goal every single day, and hey, every single night, it’s going to be on top of your mind which is going to trigger a new habit, and put yourself in a position to to achieve that goal.

now, maybe towards the end of 2023 okay, you wrote this goal down, I don’t be in the best shape of my life, cool. And you wrote down the habits, and you wrote down everything that you needed to do to order to achieve that goal. And by the end of 2023 you did get in the best shape of your life, but maybe you wanted to get in better shape. Maybe, yeah, you know, this is the best shape I’ve ever been in, and I feel great, energized, focused, and I learned a lot, I ran a lot, I applied great nutritional recipes, you know? And I just feel good. But you know that you could feel better, for example, you know that, yes, I achieved my goal, but I didn’t completely give it. My all that’s okay, there’s always room for improvement. The following year, and I’m a big fan of writing down ridiculous goals that are extremely hard to achieve and goals that scare the shit out of me, because it’s okay to hit a specific percentage of margin on that goal, versus having a goal that’s too small and kind of easy to achieve. Right? If you write down a goal and it’s just simple and it’s easy to achieve, and maybe you have to move the needle or the dial just a little bit to hit that goal. You’re not applying everything that you have. You’re not going after it. And I can tell you right now, going into this year, all you hear about is uncertainty in the economy. We don’t know where things are going. I don’t know what to do. Social media tells me 20 different things. I see all these people being successful, and then I hear the news inflation. And Apple just lost a trillion dollars in market cap in 2022 what have you. There’s always been fear. Always been fear in the news. There’s always been fear in the in the internet, social media is always going to show everybody that’s winning, because that’s what people want to show people want to post everything about success and happiness, right? And then the news wants to sell fear, because fear obviously pushes more ratings, and their ratings have been down like the worst that they’ve ever been, and so they’re going to push fear even harder. So yeah, 2023 is for you. It’s not for your social media on what you scroll through. It’s not for what you hear in the news. It’s for you. Every year is for you, and it’s for you to attack. So get in the habit of creating habits that achieve goals, and if you go through it on a regimen, a daily regimen, and have discipline and accountability. You will hit these goals because you’re going to put yourself in a spot where it’s always on your mind, and you’re going to continue to do it. It’s, it’s quite easy actually. You know what you have to do in order to lose weight, in order to in order to capture financial security or work on your finances. You know what you have to do, right? Maybe you have to spend less. Maybe you have to quit going out to dinner so often, because every dollar that you bring in is just going out the back door because you’re going out and having, you know, fine dining and all this stuff, right? Maybe that you’re you spend too much on shoes or car or whatever the case is, like, pull back, you know, what you have to do. It’s about applying habit to the goal and achieving the actual go through habit. It’s very, very simple, right? And I just see it time and time and time again of people saying, I can’t lose weight, I don’t have a good metabolism. It’s genetics or, you know, whatever the case is, and really, if you just go hang out with that person for the day, and maybe they’re a daily drinker, maybe they don’t really eat healthy. Maybe they like to enjoy snacks, food, ice cream, like, it’s like, Dude, you compound that over time, and you’re not gonna it’s just not a healthy lifestyle. Versus hanging out with somebody that gets up early, goes and runs a couple miles, stretches, takes vitamins, journals, writes down their goals, goes through every single thing that they want to achieve, meditates, prays, goes to church, hangs out with their family, like look at people’s daily habits. Okay? And by the way, eagles fly alone. Okay, so what I just talked about just there, is what a lot of successful entrepreneurs do. They get up early, they write down their goals. They have their daily habits. They have their meditation session. They have faith. They’re very bonded with their family, and there’s almost like, not really time for friends, not that friendships not important. But Eagles fly and soar alone, and that’s okay, because you need to learn to live with yourself and actually enjoy being alone by yourself, right? And that’s okay, like, if there’s certain people that you got to cut out of your life, there’s certain people you got to cut out of your life because having a bad habit and hanging out with the wrong people, you’re just wasting time. If your goal is to achieve the next best version of yourself in whatever category that is, across the board, you have to look at bad habits. I just went through this exercise, right like, it’s easy to start getting in the like routine of a bad habit, you know, it’s easy to pull back, it’s easy to chill, easy to relax, right? It’s just easy, right? And so it’s easy to fall into, like, bad, simplified habits, okay, but this year is for the take, and I’m telling the people that. A step on the gas, the people that have the desire when all of this propaganda fear and then the complete opposite social media success, you know you’re looking in every single direction and trying to and just getting confused, focus on you. You’re the only one that matters. And if you just time after time after time again, continue to show up, continue to show up, continue to show up. Get bad habits out of your life. Get good habits into your life. Look back on all of the wins you have this year versus last year, and you’re going to just explode what you did in 2022 and right now I see some of the top peak performers, especially in the medical esthetic space, stepping on the gas. They’re posting more social media, they’re investing in more training. They’re running more ads. They’re like just compounding hard on all of their tech, their processes, their people, their training. Because market share is right there for the taking, and it’s coming for whoever wants it.
