hey everybody. Cameron Hemphill, here your host for medical millionaire. Hey, first off guys, thank you so much for taking the time to tune into the podcast. Our goal is to give incredible insight and value into the medical spa market. So throughout this journey together, I want to help you guys take your practice to the next level. We have a great friend, we have a business owner. We have somebody that’s been with growth dynamic for a long time and had, you know, a great amount of success. And I wanted to invite Arden Ballard. He has a medical esthetics practice. He is from Louisiana, and his practice is rediscover esthetics. So, Arden, welcome to the show. Man, thanks for having
me. Man, this is really cool.
Yeah, absolutely. I love that you got the whole setup. I mean, you, you’ve been doing this a long time.
My wife makes fun of me all the time because of I know how to spend money really well, and so making myself look as good as possible, not only in the practice, but on on the little setup that I have here. I mean, it’s a must. So
I love it. I love it. You inspire me, Man, I gotta get me a better setup than what I got. Now, I’ll get you
to hook up with my Best Buy guy. There you go, and get it hooked up.
All right, so first off, I want to know, and I know the audience wants to hear. So talk to us a little bit about your journey, like what got you into the medical esthetic space. Tell us about the progress and where things are going. Sure, sure. Well,
I’ll try to keep it as brief as possible, but I can, I can be a little long winded. I have been a physician assistant since 2010 I started my career as an athletic trainer, before going to PA school, and orthopedics was the only thing on my mind. Going into PA school and coming out of PA school, I did my master’s thesis on orthopedic injuries, and I think I signed with a general surge or an orthopedic surgeon halfway through PA school. So I was booked, ready to go. It took me about four months to be slapped in the face and with real life, to understand that, you know, the surgical setting and corporate medicine is a real daunting one, and it’s, it’s something you really can’t try before you buy, you know. So once I was in it for real life, man, it was, it really took a toll on me, and so I did. Six years in orthopedics, got out, went to urgent care to kind of find myself, and then got lost in urgent care, especially during COVID and whatnot. And I was wearing it on my sleeve. My wife saw it. I was depressed and just really not in a happy place. I was ready to go, you know, bartender pick up trash for a living. My wife looked at me selfishly, finding out later, she was like, go take a botox class. You know, she wants me to do her own at the house or something. And so I did what I guess a lot of people do. They go to one of these weekend classes, and I fell in love. I was like, Man, this is so cool. How you can, you can really affect someone’s life here and for the positive. And, you know, I grew up very left brained, right? I wrote music, I played guitar, I did a lot of artistic type stuff. And so I was like, man, what better way to combine science with the artistry that I have and have since kind of lost. And so I took a deep dive. This was during COVID. I found every book, I found, every online resource, I took classes, I probably spent, I don’t know, 20,000 bucks on continuing education. I just took a deep dive and got my own masters in esthetics medicine and but my wife, my wife and I were very serious about number one, going into business together. She’s a registered nurse, and wanted to do this with me, and but we were also serious about doing it on a budget and not blowing a million bucks on a building and six staff members right off the bat. And so we bootstrapped our business. We partnered with a local women’s clothing boutique in a very old, quaint, ritzy part of town, very quiet neighborhood. I walked in one day and I was like, Hey, do you have space for lease? And she’s like, well, actually, I can show you the the old kitchen in the back that we don’t use. And it was gamma. Was disgusting. It was it was so gross. I’ll have to send you pictures. It was like 1950s fantastic, but the cockroaches in the corner, and so I went in there after working Urgent Care shifts, I would get off at eight, drive to this place and tear up sheet rock and tear up the tile and re tile the place. And we made. Didn’t look fantastic. And that’s how rediscover esthetic started, back of a clothing boutique,
no shit. I love it, man. So, you know, I mean, what’s cool is, is, and I get to, I get to hear this a lot on these, these episodes and podcasts, as I try my hardest to sit back and listen. Everybody’s got an amazing story on how they got into this industry, right? Or this specialty too. And so trying to find your way, right? And so, like, in a lot of people have to understand that, like, you’re going to go through trial and error, you’re going to go through a lot of different things that, hey, you may be on one path of a specific course of medicine. Like, there’s a lot of people that are at the hospital getting into this industry, there’s a lot of people that are different, just like yourself, right? Orthopedics is, I think that’s what you said, right? Or, and then also the urgent care, right? And now, you know, you, you hit it on the head, like, for me, I can, like, resonate with it. You said something that was interesting, that said, Hey, I have a background in arts, right? Music, arts, music, stuff like that. And so you now went to this course randomly, you know, continuing to explore, and you came out like, wow, I can apply this background to this future, you know, potential, right? And then also, I think it’s really cool that you were able to continue doing what you’re doing, and you went through the ringer on creating a space that was not a space, right? And so, and I think a lot of people need to understand that in the sense of, hey, like, you’re not going to get into this space, this industry, or really any career for that matter, and just have the most immaculate, badass setup, right? And it’s not just going to be handed to you, right? You went to a space. You’re like, yeah, there’s a kitchen in the back. Like, maybe there’s, I don’t know, figure it out. And you know, stuff like that that I hear from an entrepreneurial perspective, or somebody that just, like, has the drive, like, okay, maybe, maybe this isn’t the best setup, but you know what? I’m going to make it work, and I’m going to come here after my date shift, and I’m going to come in and I’m going to bust my ass right into what it is now, right? And so that’s what’s really cool, is when you talk, I can sit and I can just like, dude, like all the stories have their own, they have their own personal story, but it all resonates the same on how it formed into something special, right? So that’s really so you guys have been open for how long now?
We just made our second anniversary. We’ve already moved locations. That’s a fun story too, but I want to comment on what you said, because you’re absolutely right. Nothing worth having in life has been handed to me. And I would, I would guess that most of your listeners are the same way. I mean, it’s not like you come out of school with an esthetics degree and say, you know, here’s your practice. You can just go ahead and join it. It doesn’t happen, especially for men, right? I mean, I’m, I know men, it don’t really we’re not spearheading the way here in esthetics, right? Although, I mean, I think I know how to look at a female and tell them that they’re beautiful or not, and I think that I use that to my advantage. I I feel like I get fantastic result because I’m a guy, but no man, you gotta sometimes you have to put your face to the to the pavement and get ready to get knocked some teeth in and
but it’s worth it. It’s going to be worth it in the end, if you just stick with it.
That’s right, that’s right. And it’s having the accountability and the discipline to continue to show up, you know? So I think, like, there’s, there’s people that get into this industry and they realize, wow, like, this is the shits heart like that. There is a lot to do here, whether it’s marketing, whether it’s like having the technology, whether it’s hiring staff, whether it’s turnover in staff, whether it’s like learning and keeping up with the advanced techniques that are taking place. Like, you know, I look at ultrasound is becoming, you know, huge for injectables right now. And, you know, I look back on a year ago, and, I mean, I some people were doing it, but a lot of people weren’t, and now it’s becoming like this. So there’s a lot of keeping up with this, right? A lot of like, trends and new tricks and new devices and stuff, you know. And so I think people get into the industry thinking, Hey, I saw like this stuff on social media. I could do it, I’m going to go jump in, and anybody can do it. But it’s about, it’s about having the discipline and the accountability to show up when you don’t want to show up, right? And I think
don’t be like, one of those guys that goes to these weekend classes and think they’re ready to go, it’s like, I’m an ejector now, it’s like, we’ll slow your roll, bud. Let’s talk about that. Exactly,
yeah. So, alright, so two year anniversary, you guys have moved. Obviously, if you guys have moved, that means that you guys, like you guys, have found like, good rhythm. You guys have found consistent, right? So talk to us about that.
It was great we we knew the original location was like our men. Them viable product, right? Let’s start here. Let’s test the waters, see if this is something we want to do. But we know we can’t sustain a business here. It’s too small one room. So about eight months, and we were like, All right, let’s start looking around. And then, you know, I’m a firm believer that God’s going to delete deliver you in the way that you’re supposed to go. And I was working out in the gym one day, and as I was leaving, I passed their day spa. So, you know, this big fitness center, 12,000 members, probably 1000 people, come in and out every day, and they have this day spa. Well, it’s kind of old, and it’s just, it’s just day spa activities, right? So, they have an esthetician, they have massage therapists, I think they do pedicures or something. And I was like, that’s where we need to be. Like, this is what? What an amazing opportunity to integrate with an existing client base, right downstairs, right? And so again, When did my cold calling and knocked on the owner’s door and I said, hey, I’m interested in integrating inside of your spot, and they’re like, what? So we set up a meeting, and initially they said no, we had an hour long meeting with them. It was a great conversation, and I really respect them. And Catherine, I walked out, and Catherine’s kind of bummed and everything. I was like, cat, it’s not done like this. We’re gonna end up here. I know it like, she’s like, but they just said no. And I said, Kat, you don’t understand, like, God’s gonna put us here. I feel it. I know it. And so it’s Christmas time, and so Christmas rolls around, I send them a bouquet of flowers just to thank them for the time. And hey, look, you know best of success to you. And it was about a week later, and we got two phone calls on the same day that changed our life, the first phone call was we were adopting a baby girl, and so it was like eight in the morning. I’m sitting outside of urgent care, get the phone call, our baby girl is going to be born in three weeks. So we did that. That evening, 745 rolls around. The owner of the spa of the gym calls me and says, Hey, you know, we’ve had a change of heart. We’d really like to move forward with you. So jeez, we moved our baby business and got a baby girl, all within two weeks of of each other. And so, yeah, it’s been, it’s been a busy year, but, I mean, fantastic stuff, all just in a lot of volume. Wow. That is,
that’s amazing, man. So I’ll bet you remember that date
forever, for the rest of my life. No doubt, no
doubt, very cool. So when was that exactly?
Well, she was born February 9. It was this first week of January of 2022, 2022,
okay, so you’re coming up on a year and a half, basically, basically, basically, yeah, awesome. Very cool. Well, congratulations. That’s amazing. Thank you. Very cool stuff. Yeah, so and I have two daughters. I have a six year old daughter, and I have a nine year old daughter. So I’m going
to put you on speed dial to keep up with some of these changes that I’m inevitably will come about.
It’s interesting, man, you make you’re like, Okay, I got it. I got to figure it out. I figured out the parenting thing. Okay, we’re good. And then all of a sudden, like, they changed, and you’re like, shit, right? And
I have eight and six year old boys who saw her would protect her to the end, I’m sure of it. But as you know, having a baby girl, it’s completely different story.
It is, man, they take your heart for sure. They it’s, it’s a lot of fun. Well, Congrats, man, that’s awesome. So going forward into into the practice, the new space, a guy calls you his like, why did he have a change of heart? Why was he like, was he thought about it? Did you just not give up? What was it? The the unknown, like you said, You sent him something special. Yeah, I you know, after
we moved in, we found out that he was actually interviewing a second injector who so it was on their game plan to kind of integrate these types of services into this spa. And, you know, without sounding, I don’t want to sound arrogant or toot my own horn here, but I think it’s just due in large part to our our the way we presented ourselves. I mean, we were honest and forthcoming and with integrity and and I was just like, hey, look, I mean, our vision statement is is, in part, that we want our patients to feel like an extension of our family, and we feel like we synergize well with your gym, because that’s how you have set your gym up, and the gym is very family oriented, and, you know, Mom and Pop kind of place, and that’s how we want to align. And I don’t know, man, I just walked out that first meeting. I was like, that’s, this is where we end up. And lo and behold, they, I guess they, I don’t know if they had a falling out with the other group or just wasn’t, just wasn’t meant to be. So
works for us. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Law of Attraction, man, you put it out there and, you know, like, I, something that I do on a regular basis is I have mental practices. You know, some people think it’s, it’s Corky and corny or whatever, but it’s something that I’ve been doing for a long time. It’s like, hey and I’ll, I have visions, right? It’s interesting. I just watched that Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary. Have you seen that yet? It’s on my list. I haven’t watched it yet. I mean, I didn’t know how intelligent this guy is. And also all like his ability to pivot, like he conquered bodybuilding, he conquered acting, and then he conquered politics, and he had clear visions, and he basically told the universe, like the Universal Intelligence, this is what I’m going to do. And I had on it and it and it came to him, you know? And I’ve had that shit happen to me, too, and it’s fun talking to you, because you’ve had that same experience, right? And so I think some people like, oh, it’s who gets corny or whatever. But like, dude, that there’s some real, real truth out there to to really put, like, the law of attraction out there, and just saying, I know what. I feel it. I’m going to trust it. I’m going to pray on it. It’s going to come to us. And so that’s really cool. So let’s talk about it for a minute. So 12,000 people, is that what you said? They’re members here. 12,000 members. That’s, is it a country club too, then? Or, like, that’s a lot.
Think of a country club without the golf course. So there, it’s a big tennis community. They have a dozen tennis courts, lots of group fitness classes, very country club esque. You could, you could spend your entire day there. You can eat there. You can get a massage and get Botox, or you can do CrossFit and get in a cold plunge and play tennis. I mean, you can do everything.
That’s awesome. That’s awesome. Okay, cool. So talk to me about, so we could talk about, like, location, because I think location is, is very, very important. Like, obviously, oh yeah, you know, great. Location is a big deal. And so by you being, like, integrated into that wellness environment that has foot traffic of 12,000 members and the referral base around that. What did that do for the practice? Like, did it make it chaotic at first? Was it
so, yeah, I mean, it did exactly what we thought it was going to do, and we probably weren’t ready for it. I’m gonna give you a little geography lesson first. So Southeast Louisiana. Everybody thinks of New Orleans, and I grew up in New Orleans. Just north of New Orleans is Lake Pontchartrain. That’s, you know, for the longest time, it was the longest bridge across the body of water. Lake Pontchartrain was the causeway bridge, and that’s our bridge, and that leads to the North Shore of Louis, of of New Orleans. And that’s where i i live, and it’s a it’s a fairly small community, all things considered, I think you can drive from end to end in about 20 minutes. There are about 30 medical spas in that little area. Wow. It’s probably the highest GDP in the state, in this little section of town, and quite affluent for Louisiana and and the medical esthetics world knows it. So there’s lots of us. I still think it’s a big sandbox and but with that said, I knew that location was key. So number one, I mean, this place checked all the boxes. It was inside a very affluent fitness center. It was also across the street from a large affluent subdivision. So subdivisions got a golf course and its own country club, and we’re able to market inside of that country club in their little magazine. And we knew that if our current or our previous location was big enough, then we could make it work. But this is just like a pot of gold, if we can make this fitness center place work. So and in addition, I have aspirations to kind of license out and recreate this model and other fitness centers around the country. That’s kind of my my exit strategy to start either franchise or licensing in this particular space. But, yeah, we so to cut to the good part, we two and a half x our gross revenue after our first year
compared to the year prior in the
in the kitchen, right? And I fully attribute that to the location.

Very cool, very cool. So you went two and a half x basically, let’s just, let’s just make numbers easy. Let’s say we were doing 100,000 a million, whatever it is. I mean, that would put you at, you know, 250,000 you put you at, you know, two and a half million dollars right in revenue. So, you know, coming down to Hey, location base, extremely important. And as you you know, show up, build the reputation. You know, give great service. You know, go the extra mile, obviously, do the treatment. What does I mean? I feel like, and again, I haven’t been there, but it’s interesting that you say that there’s a facility very close to where I live that is just like what you talk about, right? It’s called Camp Creek, and it’s, it’s like a Wellness Center. It’s, it does have golf course, but it’s like a private country club, and it’s just massive, and I think there’s like 5000 members, and I feel like just people are everywhere, right? Very affluent. And so, you know, I think, would you say going forward, I mean, that’s, that’s, that’s insane growth, right? But like, if you just tap into more of the people that are there and more of the referral base just by being there, like, like, what do you get? Have you guys built out a forecast in terms of how far can it go,
so that we’re in the process of doing that right now? We, we grew so quickly. We quickly realized a very common problem with medical professionals starting businesses in that medical professionals don’t know how to start businesses. And I mean, it’s the plain truth I always said, before I got in this position, I said that there was an inverse relationship between how good a doctor was and how bad a business person was. So the better the surgeon, the worse the businessman they were. And prove me wrong, please. I’ll buy you a beer. But so I was getting in this position where we’re building a business and like, well, shoot, we don’t know how to run it. So we kind of pulled back our marketing a little bit to say, face down the long run, we were still in the black and still making good money, and but we’re like, we need to do this the right way. So we invested into, you know, operations and understanding how systems work, and, you know, building an employment even though it’s just Catherine and I, we still have no employees right now. We have a couple of contractors, but nobody’s seeing patients, but she and it was important for us to lay the foundations now, so that I’m actually interviewing nurse practitioners and PAs now to come in as another provider. But I wanted to do this now and not six months ago, and then have it all just fall apart. So that was an important lesson that I’ve learned. But the as far as forecasting goes, we’re only tapping into maybe 2% of what is available to us right now. And it’s the it’s the perfect demographic. I mean, they’re mostly female, they’re mostly the stay at home mom type category, in their mid 40s, they play tennis, they get a midday workout and hang out in the in the pool, and, yeah, it’s, it’s right there, and it’s right for the taking for us. So we’re really excited about the future.
I love it. I love it, man. So you said something there that I talk about a lot, and it’s, I actually have a, I do a talk on it at, you know, some of the conferences that we, that we travel to, it’s how to run your practice like a business, right? So, I’m a, I’m a business guy. Always have been. I am the farthest from educated when it comes to, you know, medical, medicine, anatomy. I mean, I’ve learned over the years, because I’m in this, this industry, if you will. But when it comes to like, providing healthcare services for patients, like I’m not that guy. I took note, zero courses, zero class, zero education on it, what I am good at is business and in processes and systems and technology and tech stack and and how to scale, right? And so it’s interesting when I look at this, this industry, this specialty, if you will, because I see very talented people that are so educated or way smarter than I am, and they they don’t know how to run their practice like a business, because they just haven’t spent the time on business. This entrepreneurial stuff, right? So it’s, it’s, it’s kind of, it’s, it’s shocking, like it’s shocking to me, but it’s also, it’s really cool to see, because eventually it happens, you can see that, like the cross of the chasm, if you will, right? Hey, I’ve built this. This is a practice, holy shit. I gotta run this like a business. I need to get an EMR system. I need to have, like, online booking. I need to get a POC. I need to get a CRM. I need to get a website. I need to hire this person. I need to have, like, you know, a specific process. I need to maybe have, like, payroll, right? I need to pay taxes. I need to manage my profit and loss, my expenses, my inventory, like it’s eventually it happens because you’re forced in order, like you’re just forced to, and you’re going to fall in your face, right? And you’re going to have failures and all that stuff, which is great you have to. But I just think it’s fascinating to see these people come in as, let’s call it, a very, a very integrated background when it comes to medicine and then becoming an entrepreneur, right? And so it’s really cool to see. So talk to us about like that, and your tech stack and in your process and stuff like that.
I have to have to kind of laugh a little bit, because I was that guy. I wanted to be that guy. I mean, I I went back, I got back from this class in Vegas, and I was going to turn into that, that dude, where I was going to rent out space and, you know, furnish it, and hire people, and without any idea what to do, right? I mean, I didn’t know what a P L was when I started this. So fortunately, you know, I was, I was born with one half of a brain, and then I met the other half of my brain, you know, when I got married, and thank God that it matches, and we make a whole one. So I’m the extrovert, I’m the I’m the one that does the podcast and talks out in public and and all that stuff. And then she’s the one that’s the operations genius and the the attention to detail, and also the voice of reason, where, hey, Arden, you might not want to drop a million bucks into a practice. You don’t know it’s going to succeed. And I said, You know what? I think you’re right, and I’m humble enough and wise enough to listen, and fortunately, it’s gotten us in a good place. But
Tech, I mean, we’re trying to keep things as easy as possible.
You know, we we have been fully immersed in growth 99 almost from the beginning, after a terrible, dismal start with another company, I won’t mention who, but it took us about two months to realize, okay, we need somebody in our back in our in our back pocket that knows what they’re doing, and we can get responses from and we can make changes quickly and provide a beautiful result. And growth 99 has certainly done that. So thank you for that. The company you have built is phenomenal. Thank
you, man, I appreciate that. Yes, I’m a big fan.
And then our, you know, our, we’re big partners with a static record. We love their, their EMR platform. And then from there, I mean, we try to keep as little
tech involved as possible.
My wife just took a deep dive into Monday for practice management to good online, cloud based tool. And so that kind of keeps me in line, because I like to use my email inbox to manage projects, and that’s a terrible idea. I wouldn’t recommend doing it. But, yeah, I mean, when you hired some contractors just to help us with social media, and because I hate it, man, Cam I, you know, I see, I see people like Shelby out there, and, you know, the face of esthetics on Instagram, and God bless you. But I do not, I do not want to sit behind my cell phone all day and and do those things. Maybe it’s a guy thing, I don’t know, but
I’m avoiding it like the plague.
I’m the same way, man, it’s, it’s, it’s hard. Like I feel like, you know, there is definitely people that have a natural talent for it, for sure, and they just, they, you know, they take the time to invest in it, and they’re just naturally better, right? I’m the same way, though. I feel like it’s, it’s it’s hard, it’s a challenge, you know, and if you, if you put it on the calendar, or whatever it gets done, I’ve gotten, you know, better lately. But, you know, I agree when it comes to, when it comes to tech, in the space, simplicity is, is great. I, you know, the kiss, keep it simple stupid, right? So if you have, like, you know, front facing site, SEO, ads, those types of things, and you have a CRM, and then you have an EMR, like, esthetic record, you know, I feel like you’re pretty well set and, and I see a lot of for. Fragmentation in this industry, where people will have like, 10 different tools, and there’s just overlap of all of them, right? They have subscriptions going on, and they’re really, in most cases, paying too much, you know, in further for their tech to run their practice. But no, I actually really like that, that foundation that you have set up. I mean, if it was growth 99 or not, growth 90 great, but like, the two components that you have, and then obviously, Monday for, for, like, project management, right? I think that’s fantastic. It’s you guys have online booking on your on your website, right? Yes, we
do. We couldn’t do it without that. No, yeah.
I mean, I still, like people still we talk to and they’re like, I can’t implement online booking, and I can’t. I have a hard time understanding why they can’t, you know? So
for our first year, we were answering our own phones, and so you would call the number on the website, you’d get near Catherine, and we kind of set that up and forget it. But now, as we’ve grown a little bit more in, you know, the kids and everything else, we we hired out our phone calls to another company so they’re not virtually in our office. We’re not paying a secretary to or a front desk girl. We have, we have somebody there. And then
what that ties into what we’re talking about here is
we had to wait, sorry, man, I’ve been hitting the head a lot, and ask your question one more
time. No, you’re, you’re, you’re good. I have as well. So just, just online booking, because I still booking. That’s right, I’m sorry. Oh, you’re good. I have people that still say that. They don’t, they, they can’t figure out how to implement in their practice. And for me, I’m like, Look, I know practices that have a ton of velocity, and I just, I, I mean, a lot of people are going towards it, which is great, but has that, I mean, how has that impacted?
So why this is why I brought up the phones, because still, to this day, I’ll get, I’ll call them and kind of get an assessment. Hey, how many calls have we got? Or, you know, how many people are calling in a book? And people are calling, and if they, I mean, if they do, they’re like, how much for Botox, or where are you located, or they’re not calling a book, man, all of our bookings are coming from online. And, I mean, it’s the large majority of that. And fortunately, esthetic record already has that built in that functionality, and then you guys just tie it in, and so it’s right there on the website, and it’s a set it and forget it. Kind of thing I’d be, I’d be so lost without that, especially in the first year business, I wouldn’t be able to handle taking that phone call all the time. I mean, I was trying to put myself, I’m
sorry, I was just say, how can you do it when you’re when you’re providing the service, right? Like you can’t be, you know, on the phone Exactly.
There’s no way. So this is an easy and effective means of making sure that I’m still able to pay the rent every month, right? Yeah, you it’s a no brainer. Nowadays, I try to put myself in the shoes of the people coming into practice. And so it’s 10 o’clock at night and I’m scrolling around and I’m looking for something, and, oh, this caught my eye. How do I book for this? Yep, Well, number one, I can’t call them. Number two, I I wouldn’t call them even if I could. So I need an alternative means of booking, so booking through Instagram or booking through our website. Um,
that’s priceless. Yeah, yeah, it really is. I mean, it’s like, you know, we’re talking to people on the phone and giving advice and doing some consulting, you know, we will look at their overall framework of like, Okay, what’s your point of entry when people reach out to you? First off, how do they find you? Second off, how are they What’s your point of entry? And if it’s not online booking or a very systematic way of booking appointments, you know, we’re like, Well, look, do you call Delta Airlines to book your flight? Right? Like, hell, no, that sounds horrible. You know, I’ve done that. I’ve had to do that. It was an hour. That’s why we use Google Flights, right? That’s why we go to the internet and we and we book online because it’s, it’s simple, and so, I think you said it really well, is you put your mind in the consumer. You put your mind in your in your patient, or your potential patient. They want simplicity. They are the busy, you know, affluent person that is, has kids, and they know what they want. They just want to book online, like, like, right away. I mean, sometimes they maybe they want to make a phone call. How much is it? Whatever. Maybe there’s a more, you know, complex question, or somebody that’s new, um, and I think it’s important to have, you know, the phone number there. But for the online bookings is extremely important.
Yeah, we couldn’t run our business without it, no way. Yeah. So. So,
okay, so I know that, you know, you guys have been at it for a long time. Obviously, the future seems extremely bright. It’s, it’s amazing. I love that you got the husband and wife team. And, you know, I’m sure you guys compliment each other in so many ways. I was, I’m curious. You made a comment a minute ago, and I see this a lot when I look at your journey, you know, and kind of analyze it just through my lens, right? Like just hearing you, you are now, like thinking about, hey, I may franchise this model for whether it’s other, like wellness, you know, communities, gyms, whatever it is, and go out there. And the reason why you’re now thinking about that is because you got there, you know what I mean, like, sure, if you didn’t win that meeting, for example, that that, that thought that is gone, you know? And so I call it the attach yourself to the existing in and I see a lot of business owners do this is they find rhythm, they find success. They continue to fight grind, fail, keep going, and you are where you are. You’re like, wow, I could replicate this, right? And then along the way, I know that you also, you helped me with the that supplement that you, that you have started working with, right? Yes, yeah, dude. And that’s, that’s, that’s a cool product. I think that the the audience should hear about that, and that’s just another thing that’s part of the journey of how, how you’re able to also give value to the marketplace, of offering that solution because of where you are, right? So, so talk to us about that. So obviously, attach yourself to the existing and then also, like, talk to us about that, that product, because I think it’s a really, really unique offering that a lot of people could benefit from.
Thanks. I agree with you. You know, I every big business minded person that you listen to or talk to, they say, start with the end in mind. And when I started looking at the numbers of a of a single unit medical esthetics practice, I said, Yeah, that’s really comfortable, but it’s not that comfortable, right? I mean, if you look at the numbers, it’s not too unlike what we’re bringing home from these corporate, big, big hospital box jobs, but now you have the headache of running your own business, right? And so I said, well, one unit’s not going to cut it. I mean, yeah, it’ll pay the bills, but it’s not going to allow me to take my family on the vacations that I want to go to, or live the life that I want to live, the freedom that I want to have, right? I don’t I don’t want to just create a job for myself. I want to create a lifestyle that I can grow up and spend time with my kids and provide them the opportunities that weren’t provided to me. So begin with the end of mind, if you haven’t started yet, or if you have started, but you’re kind of getting lost, like, start at the end and then work your way back to figure out how to get there. And it’s not, it’s not always sun sign and roses, you know? I mean, there’s plenty of nights where I’m, I’m, can’t go to sleep, and I’m, you know, tears are shed and words are said, and especially when you’re married to your business partner, it can get a little dicey sometimes. But no, I mean, we love each other, and it’s, it’s, it’s a good fit, but, but you have to, you have to be creative too, right? And so that’s how biopro came into the mix. I started looking for retail offerings for the for the Med Spa, and I found the non synthetic alternative to prescription human growth hormone, and I thought that sounded really fancy and interesting, so I gave him a call and started chit chatting with the owner. He was a lot like us and the position that we were in, we were just kind of starting up, and I was having, I was about to have a shoulder surgery, and so, you know, he’s like, dude, biopro is great for muscle recovery. It’s great for workout recovery, but it also can help you after surgery, because people don’t know if you’re not medical human growth hormone is the body’s master hormone. It helps with grow our muscles and our bones, but it helps our hair and our nails grow. It can help with muscle recovery and increase your libido, et cetera. So it’s a very functional Med, anti aging kind of product. So he sent me a couple of kits, and I started it before my surgery, and I went back to my surgeon at the one month follow up, and he said it was the fastest recovery he’d ever seen. He was blown away, and so much so that he now sells the product out of his office. And so, yeah, I mean, it’s been a staple of my retail offerings ever since, and I don’t think it’ll ever change for. Phenomenal product. I love that song, and I hope more esthetics practices get into it. Yeah,
yeah, it’s a cool product. I mean, I saw you, I follow you on social media personally, right? And we’ve become friends over the years, and so, like, I saw it, and I’m like, Hey, man, this is interesting, because I’m always looking for anti aging product solutions, whether it’s shoot serums all the way down to, you know, the pills, the shots, whatever it is, yeah. And you sent me a box of that, and, you know, I mean, it’s awesome. It’s a great product. I appreciate you sending that. And I know that a lot of people that you know I started researching the company, right? And I’m like, wow, like a lot of people I know actually are taking this stuff, and they’ve had amazing results. It’s,
it’s really, it’s really satisfying to see a supplement company actually stand behind their word and not just write proprietary blend in the ingredients list, and we tell you straight up. I mean, the product is raw, bio, identical growth factors, and it works. So I’m excited to be involved with that company. I help manage wholesale accounts around the world, and wholesalers just have to be medical professionals. And as as the esthetics industry grows, there’s going to be a merger point between the functional net anti aging, anti aging space and the esthetic space. The two will start to seamlessly integrate. And I mean, me, personally, I would love to have an executive medicine or concierge type practice where, you know, we can manage your your blood pressure issues, 24/7, but then also do your Botox that same week. That’s, you know, that’s my ultimate goal, to blend hormone replacement therapy and laser hair removal, you know? Why not? So biopro fits perfectly in that model, and I’m proud to represent it.
Yeah, yeah, no, it’s cool. I mean it. And so if people want to learn more about that product, where could they go? So
if they reach out to me, me personally, it’s the RnB on Instagram and Facebook, I’ll leave you my my email address and put it in the show notes. The bio protein tech.com and bio protein tech on Instagram. They’re
they’re very active on both awesome, awesome, very cool. Yes, guys, so you heard it. Make sure to go check it out. I’ve used it. It’s amazing. Obviously, we’re not getting, we’re not getting any paid or anything for this, right? Which is a product that I use and like, every once in a while, if it’s something that I use and like, I always like, I always just don’t want to talk about it, because I think it can help other people. So no, I appreciate it, man. Well, I know you’re a busy guy. I appreciate you jumping on, dude. You’re a total stud. I wish you and your family all the success in the world. If you need anything from me, dude, you know where to find me. So thank you so much, man. I appreciate it, and let me know if there’s anything I can help you with. Okay,
thanks for having me. Cam, no, this was great. And likewise, too, likewise, man,
all right, have a great day. We’ll talk to you soon. You.
