And today, I have a special guest on a friend, a client. We go back. I have Dr Rachel fidino, she’s the owner and founder of New you women’s clinic and esthetics. She is an advanced practice registered nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience. She’s double board certified and holds national certifications as a women’s health nurse practitioner and in advanced genetic nursing. Welcome to the show. Dr fidino,
hey, thanks for having me. I appreciate it. That was a lot there. How are you doing good?
I am. I’m doing good. It’s good to talk with you.
Thank you so much for joining. I know that Tom you’re super busy. I know you have a very successful practice, and throughout that journey, I know you’ve really looked at your business and said, You know what? There’s other areas for opportunity. And so I look at you as an individual that really looks at their practice and runs it like a CEO should, like like a true business. And has that always been the case? Or because typically practice owners extremely talented, extremely smart, you know? But I think a lot of times we have to figure out, hey, I have all these certificates, and I am very smart when it comes to health, when it comes to nursing, when it comes to genetics, when it comes to everything that you guys do, right? And so I always like to look at it like from a different perspective, from Hey, how do we look at a clinic and make sure it’s being run like a business? And I see you doing that very successfully. And so I’d be curious to know, has that been the cases in section, or talk to me about that.
So I had been practicing for several years before I decided, like, I came to this pivotal spot in my career where I was like, do I just, do I hate the medical field, or, like, do I need to go a different route what was going on and so I just didn’t like the way that I was taking care of my patients and the hospital setting anymore. I just didn’t feel like I was practicing at the full ability that I that I knew I should be. And so of going home at night being like, oh my goodness, I just, I just didn’t feel like I was practicing on Oncology at the time in Seattle, and I was staying 17 to 23 going on creation today, and that’s just so so much. And so I decided to take a leap of faith, and I had a she’s kind of like a second mom to me, but she is a business mentor that I teamed up with and in 2019 before I launched new you. And she just tells it, you know, you have to have really thick skin. And she just tells me exactly what I need to hear. We’ve been together since then. Her husband is very successful. He owns several businesses, and, you know, multi, multi millionaires. And so for me, I wanted to know the business side of it, before I decided to open new you. And so we would meet with each other. And you know, a few pieces of advice. She told me. She was like, you know, you open up new you. I want you to make sure you have a really great attorney. You need to have somebody on your team who’s smarter than you, and you need to have somebody on your team who works harder than you do. And so those were three tiers that I’ve always made sure that I’ve had, and I never, you know, there’s things that I do well, but I was not afraid to delegate. And so that’s where you start building this team around you, of whether they’re accountants, attorneys, really solid managers and staff to support the business. So then you can focus on, course, taking care of your patients, but running the business as as an actual business. And so that’s kind of how it started. And you know, I launched new you a month before COVID. We launched in February of 2020, and so that was not my that was not my choice. Of course, but that actually, for me, was like the biggest testament to if I can pull this off, then I’ve got it from here, and then we’ve only just, you know, far exceeded our goal since then.
My goodness, was that when you open, that was so was that like February of when it all, wow, okay, so you had the, you had all this momentum going up, right? And then you were kind of hit with this interesting moment in life that we all were trying to figure out when trying to open up a practice, yeah, I agree. Like going through that extremely challenging and if I remember right, you and I have, obviously, you know, had several conversations. So glad I had the opportunity to meet you face to meet you face to face at the am spau conference earlier this year. But you your practice is very busy. From my understanding, you guys have a lot of appointments per day. Is that right? I mean, I remember talking about that, so talk to me more about that.
Yeah. So we very robust. We’re actually we’re growing very, very quickly, so we’re building a new medical practice, but with we have a very successful weight loss program when before I went through menopause and the whole shebang, when I was I went through menopause at 32 so a little bit prior to that, I was actually practicing, but I was a national bikini competitor, and so I was very involved in fitness, and I loved how to just chisel out anybody’s body. So our weight loss program is by far our most successful service that we’ve had prior to all this Olympic you know, stuff that’s going on, but you know, so we have a lot of nurse visits, a lot of patients coming in for IVs. Were very much holistic focused functional medicine as well. And so, you know, we’ll have, you know, up to a couple 100 patients a day. We’re trying to plan right now, we’re going to have double the stuff that we do right now this time next year. And so looking at, what does that look like for, you know, making sure we have the right charting system that has to be very quick, that I can turn and burn charts where, you know, we’re not bogged down, but, yeah, we’re very, very busy. We have, you know, between GYN providers, women’s health providers, to mass restitution and nurse injectors. So
that brings up an interesting point that I also I had no idea. I’m sure there’s a lot of things that I could learn more about you, but I had no idea that you were, I mean, obviously you’re fit, and you got it going on. I had no idea you took it to that level.
So would you?
I’m sure people would see that right, and then they could say, Okay, this is someone that’s extremely fit, she takes her fitness, her health, serious. She has a practice. She’s got an amazing background when it comes to, you know, the clinical side of things, would people naturally like draw towards that? Because you probably have a lot, like, a lot to say about that, right, in terms of how you’re able to get there?
Yeah, I mean our weight loss program, it’s our number one seller, because I’m not just focusing on the weight loss. So these patients, so, you know, it’s a combination of of weight and hormonal management. And that is such a comp. They have to really it’s the dance they go together. And so to be patients, if their hormones aren’t balanced, then we’re also struggling with weight. And so, you know, in order to reach these goals, it’s looking at them. And I’m a little bit more of a, you know, I don’t want my patients to yo yo. So what I’m giving them is the tools, so when they’re done with me, I want them to be able to do this on their own without gaining the weight back. And so that’s where the hormonal structure and making sure everything is balanced comes in. And so for me, like, patients look at me and they’re like, she doesn’t know how she’s talking about like, she isn’t in menopause, but I am. I was in menopause at 32 and so I’m on these hormones, so I can speak to them wholeheartedly. But then they, you know, in our handout that we give them a tox, like, there’s a picture of me on stage competing at a national level. And so they’re like, Okay, like, she clearly walks the walk on this as well. So, you know, it’s very comprehensive. Between vitamin injections, we give them chromium I’m talking a lot about, like gut health and the lectin foods. And, you know, there’s just so many tools that we give them on the program to do very well. Our chief of operations also has won two state champion titles for bodybuilding. So between the two of us, we can really chisel out anybody’s body. We just, we’ve never failed anybody before.
That’s, that’s awesome. I mean, yeah, I had the opportunity to meet your husband too. He, he’s definitely fit big guy. Well, that’s, that’s really cool. I think what’s interesting. And I wasn’t planning on having this conversation, but, you know, since it’s there, there is this whole semi glutton ozempic thing buzz going on. And it’s been going on, you know, obviously, for a while. But I would say, in a massive way, within like, the last three to six months, I’ve just seen it explode. And I think, you know, I obviously. They do not have a clinical background. I am not a doctor. I have not gone through the clinical experience in the anatomy process. But I look at everything from a business standpoint, and a lot of people have are starting to market this, right? And so when I look at it, I think it’s, it’s really interesting that you’ve been doing this before. This new I’ll guess I’ll call it a buzz, because it is, maybe it fades off, I don’t know. Maybe it is some massive breakthrough. I know a lot of people that are on it and seeing a lot of success. And again, I can’t talk from a clinical side of it, but I could definitely talk from a marketing side of it. I think it’s the hot new topic. When I when I look at it, I think people can weight loss is interesting. They can say, Okay, I want to, I want to lose weight. And then almost, like, the discipline of it kind of goes away for the majority of the public, right? And so do you see that being with, like, this semi glutide, like, I have a feeling that your patients do not turn over a lot like they’re very loyal. You put them on a plan, and they’re very successful. And I can see some people using ozepic or semi glutide As a quick fix. And I could be wrong, I don’t know, but I’m curious to know your take on it,
you know? So with me, I mean, I’ve been, you know, I guess I’ve been practicing now for almost 13 years, and weight loss for us is at least since 2020, when we open, I can just speak to it wholeheartedly at new you. It’s always been a conversation. We’ve always had people on our weight loss program. It’s gotten better. Of course, as you know, I’m a huge believer in Dr Fung, intermittent fasting. There’s a lot of work I that I teach patients on intermittent fasting and how to not get adrenal adrenal fatigue. I’m a big ambassador for Dr Gundry and leaky gut, and so I’ve read several of his books. Long deputy was one that I thought was amazing. And so I do talk a lot about gut health. And so that’s always been there, like the program itself is, I’ve gotten more tools, so now we have, like, an phenomenal body scan and all these other things that we use, but we do use, we use tricep, the tide, which is a generic for menjaro, but it’s more of a adjunct to the program. That’s something that they can purchase if they want to, but that’s not the program. The program has nothing to do with weight, with our weight loss peptide. The and the program itself is it’s, it’s, it’s very affordable, but it’s one of those things that patients are getting all these amazing tools, and then if they want to purchase the peptide, they can now that it’s available, but it’s not something that I really go out swinging, because I just feel, like so many people, it is a quick fix. And unless you learn a completely different behavior, and you’re thinking about the whole picture, these two are just going to yo yo. And so with me, that’s completely like I said, that’s opposite of what we’re trying to achieve. So
interesting. Yeah, I like that take on it. That’s, that’s, I mean, it’s more, it’s a plan, right? And then it also takes the accountability and the discipline from the end user to implement that plan. Okay? That’s, that’s, I’ve actually heard of both of those doctors that you mentioned. My wife has read
the gut one. What is the name of it. So
if there’s one that’s called the plant paradox by Dr Gundry, that’s a great book. And then longevity was another one that I actually really, really liked and and I do believe in his his pre and probiotics really do help. But a lot of what we’re talking about is like, how do we repair the gut? Because the gut really can impact weight, but then also other triad of issues. So I talk a lot about gut health, but also low inflammation, foods, intermittent fasting. I’m typically talking about 16 to 18 hours of a fast. And then we talk a lot, a little bit about carb cycling with our patients too. But then I’m looking at the body scan. I’m meeting with them once a month to make sure they’re getting enough protein, they’re getting enough water their visceral fats going down. I’m trying to put them at a healthier state so we can get off a lot of these blood pressure medications and metformin and all these things that I’m like, I hate that we shut these down our patients throat. And so for me, it’s like, I want that my patients to not be on any of those things. And if I can get them at the healthiest state and reduce cardiovascular risk long term, that’s what
I’m trying to do. Interesting, interesting. Do you have? Do you know who Dr David Sinclair is? By chance,
that name I have.
He wrote a book called it’s lifespan. That’s the book he wrote that I read. He talks about, Yeah, Matt Forman and a man and Robert Citro. So those are interesting. I kind of dove into those and and, you know, started learning a lot when it comes to, like, anti aging, reverse aging and stuff like that. So, no, that’s super cool. So okay, I want to pivot for a second, and I want to talk about, like, the practice. I know that you guys, you know it. You know, weight loss is huge. You’ve been doing it, you know, forever. I feel like I can come to your your practice, and I could get, like, nutritional plan, weight loss plan, and I could probably get all my injectables done and laser treatment. So, you know, what other services do you guys also focus on when it comes to your practice and your patients?
So, full spectrum as far as like women’s health goes, so but we also take care of men for testosterone replacement, anxiety, depression, family histories of cancer, those sort of things. And so we have the medical side of things, and then on the esthetic side, you know, we’re definitely not the cheapest in town by any means. We’re probably the most expensive place in town, but you know, patients are coming to see us for our expertise, and so they’re paying for that. So we’re we offer, you know, different laser devices. We have BBL, we have Halo, you know, we have different laser hair removal with we have laser hair through site on but we’re really, we do a ton with PRF, actually. So we do a lot with PR PRF. We actually just got, like, a brand new, really, like cutting edge centrifuge that we’re looking at doing a clinical trial on, actually, just based on how the tubes are, are there? It’s a horizontal center field, which is very unique with collecting the growth factors we do. So I went and trained with Dr Gundry in Chicago several years ago. And so we’re certified in O, shot, P, shot, you know, vampire eye, vampire hair, anything vampire we do. But then we have hydro facial, so kind of just a, you know, a very comprehensive Med Spa, I would say totally I’m seeing patients for PDO, threading different PRF treatments and things like that.
Nice. Okay, yeah, so very robust practice helps on both sides, the esthetic side, the health side, I even want to say the nutritional side, right at some level, obviously. But no, this is, this is great. I want to know what keeps you going like, I know you’re, you’re very busy. I can, I can feel the passion and see the passion and how much the practice means to you and how much the patience mean to you. You know, what is it that keeps you going? Like, I’m sure you wake up early. I can tell, like, I know you’re organized, structured. I don’t think we’ve ever been on a phone call where you’ve been, like, one second late. A lot of people in this space are I get the feeling you’re very structured and organized. And so like, as that alarm hits when you wake up in the morning, maybe it doesn’t even need to hit. You’re used to it. But like, what hits the hit the ground just running and keeps you going, like, talk to me, like, deep about, like, the passion behind it. I
mean, I’ve always told so I have one daughter. I was very grateful to be able to have one. You know, I want to show her that I came from nothing. I grew up in a very low income home, and so growing up from nothing, I always like you are not the product of your past at all. You can define your future however the hell you want to. And so, you know, there’s a lot of determination and grit that comes with that. I guess determination and discipline are the two Ds that I definitely believe in. And you know, I’ve had cancer twice, and I don’t know how long I’m gonna be on this earth. And so for me, it’s like I’m going to leave a legacy. So when I leave this world, I know that I touch so many people, and whether it’s changing legislation or within my own practice or whatever that may be, but I know that when I leave I want to, I want to leave for the right reasons, and know that, you know, I’m maybe carved out a niche in the esthetic world that was able to impact people in different way. And so that’s kind of like defined assess Success for me is really leaving behind this, this legacy and building it for my daughter so she can see, like, you know, my mom came from nothing, and look what she created. And so, you know, I look at my tenure, I kind of look at my life and tenure intervals, I would say five to 10 years. I really don’t see anything closer than that. It’s just doesn’t strike me as mind stimulating. And so I’m always looking at word I want to see my practice at least in the next five years. What is my goal? And so I’m I’m hitting these metrics. I meet with my team, my my accounting team, once a month to make sure we are going through our monthly projections, and we are on, on par with where we see revenue stream coming from, and what, what do I need to accomplish? So, I mean, that’s kind of what keeps me going, is I really, like, also, when people tell me, like, I can’t achieve anything. When I went to open new you I had to go to a couple different banks for them to, you know, help me with the startup. And I know they’re a little skeptical with that, but, you know, and even being a female, looking young, you kind of have to deal with that just a little bit. But I love to, you know, sit down at a boardroom and they’re waiting for the CEO to walk, and they don’t realize I’m already at the table, and it’s like, I’ll just make my own damn seat if they’re not gonna invite me. So, you know, it’s just kind of how. In that little bit of grit to you, where you just are, like, I have something I’m going to accomplish now. Nobody’s really going to stand in my way to get it.
I love that. Wow. That is emotional on several levels. I had no idea that you had cancer twice. Wow, that had I did not know that so and the fact that you are focused on, you know, just really leaving a legacy, right? I’m a father. I had two daughters and and I agree with you 100% like, there’s several things that you just said that I can relate with on so many levels, the legacy, you know, the five to 10 year intervals. I call them crusades. You know, looking at things at a five year crusade, because anything less than that is, it’s kind of hard to measure, and your life can change so drastically in five years. I look at me five years ago, I wasn’t, I mean, I, I’m not even the same person, completely different person. And I’m sure the same, you know, for you, right? Like, you’re like, wow, I thought I had it all figured out five years ago. And then 10 years before that, I really had it figured out, although I was very much lost at that time, you know, I’m sure when I look at things five years from now, I’m going to be like, Wow. Like, I, I thought I knew everything five years ago, which is, you know, when you and I are talking, so I agree 100% on that. And then also, just like the grit, you know, not letting anything get your way and and, you know, there’s something that I can relate to on that too, where I love when people tell me you can’t do it, you know, and they’re like, I can’t be done. Hasn’t been done before, you know? Just like the nose just turn into just more passion. And just like, Oh, tell me no, you know. Like Dana White, I was watching him the other day together started UFC. He’s got just a cool story. Everything was not going his way. And, you know, look what he was able to accomplish. And he said, a lot of people told me no, and it just kind of drove that passion. I see a lot of that in you and and a lot of successful entrepreneurs, you know, and so that’s, that’s really neat, that, how old is your daughter, by the way,
so daughters turning 15, like she’s just like she’s, she’s such an awesome kid, like she were, you know, even though she maybe doesn’t ever have to work if she doesn’t want to, you know, at this age, but she works for me already. I’m like, you’re gonna know what it feels like to earn $1 because when you want to order your little Door Dash, it’s going to add up pretty quickly. So you need to, you know? So she works at the clinic 16 hours a week. She makes her own money, and her father’s a very successful wheat farmer. And so, you know, we’re, even though we’re divorced, we divorced, and she was three years old. And so we’re really, really good friends. And so she has that life with him on the farm and what it takes to be a wheat farmer and to deal with that. And then she has her mom, who’s, you know, in a completely different realm. And so the between the both of us, she had that really good perspective of what it takes, what does hard work look like, and what’s the outcome of that? And, you know, people might see the glitz or the glam or all this stuff, but they don’t see the late nights, you know, and all the hard work that it takes and the sacrifices to really, you know, I’m very transparent with my business. I’m very transparent with my finances, because it’s like, I’m not just going to sit here and shoot the shit and just talk the talk, like I’m going to prove exactly what I say I’m going to prove, and I’m happy to show the numbers. And, you know, like our weight loss program, like, I’ll talk about those numbers, because it’s something that, you know, like when people are looking at revenue streams, like, if you do it right, this is a long term revenue stream for you that can make you a lot of money, but help you get to that next level of what you want to accomplish. So, you know, I think that it’s for her, she’s able to kind of kind of pull in from what she wants, and she’s going into high school, and she wants to get a degree in business from Gonzaga, and I think she’ll be some bad ass CEO one day.

No doubt she’s got a great, great mom and mentor, and it sounds like an incredible dad, too. So that’s, that’s really cool. I mean, at the age of 15 already, you know, wanting to talk about business school and going to an elite college, that’s, that’s incredible. You guys are doing a great job. Okay, so you said something that I want to pivot on for a sec. It’s not all about, you know, the glam, the show. There’s a lot of late nights, weekends, early mornings. I’m a business owner as well. We put out a lot of fires. So I feel like you hear more about the issues than you do about the positives, right? That’s just you have to be very sharp on your toes, and know how to handle a lot of moving parts at a very rapid pace, you know, to overcome issues, if you will, of running a business. And so when you’re looking at glam, I think, like social media can play into Everything’s beautiful and wonderful. And our practices are great, and our relationships are great. It’s interesting, and I’m curious to know, like social media plays a huge role in esthetics, because so much is appearance, right? And so what’s your take on social media? How has it impacted your practice? You know? And I guess, where do you see it going?
You know, for social media, for us, it’s, it is very, very important, you know, it’s, it’s unique for the because I’m so used to practicing in a different side of medicine where I would that’s just not really something that we put out there as GYN. It just isn’t a lot of, you know, it’s very different than the esthetic world. And so for me, like most people won’t know, but I’m much of an introvert, like I could get on a conference stage, and that’s fine, but I when I’m not at work, I like to be at home. And so when we’re looking at putting yourself out there on social media, you know, it’s, I think with me, it’s really important to I always keep my blinders on. I have my my staff also, like, just don’t get in the weeds. Like, if there’s chitter chatter, or whether we do certain things in esthetics, or we don’t, like, I’m not going to sit there, and I’m just not the type of practice that’s going to call somebody else out, or another business out, or agree or disagree. I just stay true to like, what is our business doing? What’s our mission, vision and values, and we need to stay true to that, and that’s what we try to put out there. So all of our staff, you know, they’re, I’m very grateful I have a master statistician who does have a four year degree in marketing. So that, of course, helps. And then, of course, your guys’s organization being a client of growth 99 I think by far, that’s the best platform that any med salt should be with. And so I put myself around the best, and so we’re putting that content out there on social media. It’s trying to, we’re pivoting right now actually, so it’s, we’re going to be moving things around, and we’re being a little bit more strategic, and it’s going to start kind of showing a little bit more on our social media. But I think it’s important to just always stay true to your brand, making sure that people are you know, I think posting regularly is super important just to stay relevant, because that’s where actually we get a lot of our our patients from, is from our social media. And so I just think it’s important to not, not get into the, not get into the weeds with drama or anything like that. Just keep your head down. Yeah,
no, I agree. I mean, it’s, you know, everybody’s got their own, their own take on it, their own flare and spin, you know. I think if you just, you know, put out, you know, good content, that’s interactive, that’s creative, that’s true to you, that’s authentic. You know, which is which can be hard, you know. I mean, I think people want to see who is the, you know, the owner behind the scenes, or who is the provider behind the scenes, if you will. And I think, you know, sometimes, you know, humor is great. Clinical, educational stuff is great, you know, maybe some, some home life. I think stuff like that is great, but being true and being authentic and and I think in this, this world, it can get a little dicey sometimes, but, you know, and some people, I think, enjoy it more than others, I would definitely say it’s a it’s extremely important to be relevant. Like you said on social media, it’s a great way for people to vet, kind of understand, you know who you are, in a way, without even having to like, talk to people, right? And so when we look at like, we call it the buyer journey over here. And so we say, Okay, what is the buyer journey for somebody that’s going to go to a medical esthetics practice? Typically, it’s okay, even if it’s a word of mouth referral. They’re going to look at social right? They want to see your work. They want to see the personality, maybe the environment, the atmosphere, the team services, those types of things. Images is huge. Like, just what I mean by image is a picture, right? A picture tells 1000 words, which is so true, and then reviews reputation management. They want to make sure that credibility is big. Websites big. Is it real, you know? So those three check boxes, and I think social plays a big role. Of those, is extremely important. So I. Three. Um, okay, so I know that as we’ve gotten to know each other over the years, you have started a skincare line, and I know you’re very passionate about the skincare line. We’ve talked a lot about it, and I think we’d be doing the audience a disservice if we didn’t tell them how cool your skincare line is and how unique it is. So talk to us a little bit about that. It’s good.
Yeah. So actually, super interesting. Back to Dr Gundry. I was reading one of his books, and he, like, was talking about how he makes his own, like, cold pressed cranberry seed oil. And I was like, What the heck? And so I started researching, like, cranberries and like, what does that mean, the beauty world? And it was completely just untapped, and I just was shook like, Oh my goodness. I have to, like, I need to dive into this. I need to run with it. So I after about six months of research of everything I could think of with cranberries and and all the benefits the skin like it had really been not touched in the beauty world. And so I end up launching la COVID Bears, which is French for the cranberry. And so we it’s our product. Essentially, we’re going to reach make our second product. But our first product that we have is just certified organic cold press cranberry seed oil. And it’s incredible. It’s the only fruit. It’s a super fruit, so it’s the only fruit that has a perfect blend of Omega three, six and nine. So it doesn’t leave you feeling greasy on the surface of the skin. It’s able to penetrate deep into the skin, so it can help with so many issues, just besides, like hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, actually really great. My dog, use it for acne. It helps actually reduce her acne, as well as patients I’ve had treat like their port site with it, they’ve been able to treat like rosacea. So it’s just really cool, all the benefits of just a product that’s totally stripped down. And then we just were invited into Amazon a couple of months ago, so we just are starting our journey with them. And being invited in was super cool. We were on this site that I didn’t know that we were even being kind of sponsored on, and they saw us on there and reached out to me and asked if we would join them. So we have and we just got our products launched on their site. You know, for me, it’s kind of going between, what route do I want to go? Do I want to go just solely into the spas, or do you want to hit E commerce? Then I was at a pivotal point, and so when we were invited in, I decided to to go that route and give people access to it. So it’s super exciting. The product we’re making now is he’ll be the one the first to know about it. It’s actually, it’s like a, it’s a medical grade lip oil that is with the cranberry oil, of course, but it’s also going to have, like a lip plum cord Haley ironic in it. And so we are going through product development with that right now and getting that set up, and then we’re going to slowly keep adding to the to the line. So it’s super cool. I got into the the esthetic side of it because of my own history of melasma, and just really struggled with that. And honestly, the same thing with the skincare line, it’s just so amazing what it can do for the skin that I was just super excited to get it out there.
I love it. I’ve tried it, right? So when you brought me a sample of it, and I tried it, and I think my wife and I definitely bought over it on some occasions. But no, I’m a true testimonial of the product, wonderful product. Really enjoy it. And, you know, wish I had a I guess I need another supply of it, because I think we actually may have just ran out. I know
I see,
I know you got,
you got an insight? All right, cool, okay, so I know you’re super busy and and I’ll let you go, but I want to ask you one more thing. Talk to me about coaching, so I know that you have, you know you’ve you’re a big believer in coaching. You’re a big believer in learning. You know, expanding and as a CEO and practice owner, owning several different brands inside the practice and running it at the elite level. You do. Why would somebody like you need need a coach or need a consultant like, talk to me about that.
Yes, I have two business coaches. I have my one that started with me before I open on the business side of things. And then I have Katie limholm, is who I’m also with, and so I’m one of her CEOs that we meet with actually, every single week. And coaching is so important, just because I don’t know everything, and I’m the first one to say, like, I don’t know there’s people that know things that are there’s so much smarter than I am in some of your regards to business and to med spas and to being successful and so. And being with a coach allows you to really break down. Where do you see your vision? Where do you see yourself going? What are your goals for your business? Are you looking for an exit strategy, or what do you want to do? And so actually, I have five companies right now. I just don’t always talk about them, but I just, I’m getting original 26 business after the first the year. And so, you know, for me, it’s taking all of all of this and condensing it down, and and coaches can help you with making sure that everybody is following in the direction of the ship, and making sure you have all the key pieces in play to get you to where you want to be. And that’s, for me, is to get, you know, we want to have six different locations besides our hub here in Tri Cities. And so we’re launching our first satellite by the end of the year, and then from there, we’re just gonna keep launching these different satellites. And we are gonna be branching into Salt Lake is one of the salt is gonna be one of those satellites as well. But for us, it’s, you know, really getting to that point where I can say, like I feel like I’ve achieved what I needed to achieve, and having a coach with you during that whole process, they can really help you. And then also, you’re have this community network of other CEOs that are on these calls, and so you’re able to ping stuff off other people and try to just get some more inside knowledge as to what can we do to help each other, because it needs to be so much more of a collaboration, because there’s just so much business to go around, like we all need each other. And so it’s really that place, because a lot of times, as a CEO, it’s pretty lonely, honestly, like you work so much, you kind of have left the pack. You’re kind of this alpha on your own. And so it’s sometimes nice being around other people that are can experience the same thing that you’re experiencing. So you don’t really feel so alone in that. Or, you know, whether it’s a staffing issue or whatever it might be, but, you know, it’s, it’s nice having that, that person that’s kind of in your team and in your corner. So Haley is amazing. I couldn’t say enough things about her and her coaching. It’s been very helpful.
Yeah, it’s huge. I completely agree. It’s, you know, some of the most talented athletes, you know, the most talented athletes in the world, have coaches, right So, and they’ve had coaches ever since, you know, they started their whether it’s a career, whether it’s a professional, you know, you know, athlete, or whatever it is like, you have to have a coach that that keeps you disciplined. You have to have a coach that keeps you accountable and and somebody that can relate, and even put you in a room like a mastermind, kind of it sounds like what you where you’re part of with other CEOs that are practice owners that can collaborate and are on your level, right? And so I agree, in the sense of being a CEO is definitely lonely. There’s things that are going through your mind that you can’t share with your team. Maybe you can’t share with your spouse, maybe you can’t or you can’t relate with with your team. They like, can’t know certain things, right? They just need to know, hey, you’re the leader, and you’re holding it all together and and you put on that face and you are. But there’s a lot of difficult decisions that need to be made in a short period of time, you know, and so I hire coaches as well, and and what they have done for me is kind of take the emotion of the thinking outside of it, because a lot of times I think we know the right decision, but we almost need someone to say yes and go execute instead of, you know, get wrapped up in your in your mind and make sure it’s the right decision, you know. So somebody that can kind of push you over the edge, like I know, I can train harder if I have a trainer, right? I’ll do that, you know, 20th rep, if you will, instead of busting out 10, right? You know. So somebody that kind of pushes you and puts you in a room to collaborate with, with elites. And so I agree, and hats off to you, because I think a lot of people can actually become a better version of themselves if they take the time to invest in coaching and learning and reading and absorbing content, whether it’s podcasts or whatever audio books. You know, but, but, but they don’t, because I feel like they they don’t want to spend the money, when really, if they do spend the money, they’re they’re going to get a 10x return, right? I think you’ve done an incredible job of that, of surrounding yourself with the right people and team and investing in yourself. I hear you say that a lot, and I it’s hard to do, right? It’s hard to do because it costs money and so but, but you have to believe in it and and I’m sure that you wouldn’t regret any of it, right? Of investing in, you know, the people that surround you to make you what you are and who you are and where you’re going, Yeah,
I wouldn’t the amount of money that you’re paying for coaching is honestly, like, you can make that up easily, if you’re with the right coach, easily in a month, for what you’re going to pay for a year. I mean, it’s, I’ve even looked at, there’s been some Tony Robbins stuff I’ve been to, and I had a different business coach last year that we just weren’t the right fit, that, you know, she was $50,000 and so, but that sounds like a lot of money. When you’re looking at how much money your business, like, you know, when my when my one hub, is at full steam ahead, looking at my projections, we should be about 14 million. And so I’m looking at, if I’m sitting 50,000 into 100,000 in a coach, but I’m getting a 14 million return, you have to look at that like, yep, that’s a drop in the well, like, it’s worth it, you know, and so that’s what I’m always looking at. And I never make an emotional decision. If there’s ever a big decision that needs to be made, I always sleep on it. I never make a decision in the moment. If it’s a big one, I always sleep on it. And, you know, I’m a big believer in prayer and meditation and affirmations and all of that stuff and and so I really do think about those things before I make a big decision and feel like, is this? Is this right? Does it stay true to who I am? Because I will never sway from the mission and the vision of and the values, you know, of what we what we put out
there. So, so true, you know, so true. And I always call it, you know, like I run on it instead of sleeping on it. I always tell, you know, my wife or whoever, if I just I, when I run, I think, and then I am so clear headed after that run, if it’s if it’s a difficult decision, you know, I just call it running on it. So I agree. You know what? We can relate on so many levels, even though we come from two completely different worlds, right? A man, if you’re a woman, I’m in the marketing, tech world, you’re in the clinical world. We don’t live in the same state like you know. But what’s interesting is, just when I hear you talk, you know, affirmations, goal setting, you waking up early, fitness, exercise, hiring a coach, you know, investing in success. Like, I do all those things, you know, and sometimes, like, I swear, if people saw me early in the morning, they would think I was, like, the quirkiest, like, weirdest dude, because I do weird shit, the affirmations and, like, visuals and stuff like that. And but, you know, I’ve, I have studied a lot of successful entrepreneurs, and just like you have, and they all have very, very similar disciplines and structures throughout, throughout their day in their life. Yeah, it’s almost
living your life as if you’ve already achieved it. And that’s kind of what I try to visualize. I’ve read a lot of books, how Dr Joe Dispenza, I’m a big fan of his and you know, a lot of it is about visualizing that future that you want to have, and living your life as if you’ve already achieved it, and just thinking about that every day. Because if there’s that negativity or that voice inside you that says you’re not going to be able to achieve it like that’s a subconscious that speaking and it could come from a past, younger part of your world, and that’s that’s not who you are, nor is that true. So that’s just something to be very cautious of. Is just what is that subconscious saying and just being very present in your own thoughts?
Totally, I agree. Well, thank you so much for your time. This has been great. I really appreciate it. I know the audience appreciates it. So before I let you go, how can people connect with you?
